  1. A spinnerbait or crankbait rod would be best.
  2. wow the are $3.29 at jannsnetcraft for 10. Barlows had them for $0.20 each.
  3. I am looking for magnum mushroom top rattles. Barlows does not have them anymore, where is the best place to get them?
  4. I just got my 1st curado, i'm going to have to get the reel butter out before i put line on it.
  5. I will be using the Trilene 100% fluoro and I have used 8 in the past but wanted to try heavier line on them. What is the highest you have used?
  6. I would have to say pitching a jig under a dock and your line magically starts moving sideways.
  7. http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Tactics-Fishing-Tournaments-Successfully/dp/1599214237 You can only read so much on lures, techniques, seasonal movements, etc. This book looks like it could be a fresh read.
  8. The twitching bar is great, you can still work a bait when your eating a sandwich! On top of that it is a really smooth reel.
  9. How is the memory on the 20# 100% fluoro? I used 17# vanish a couple years back on a flipping rig and the memory was so bad I got no distance. I have used mono for flipping ever since.
  10. The longer the rod the farther you can flip and pitch. You also get a better hook set which helps in the thick stuff. You would be able to cast better with the 7'2" rod though.
  11. I tried left and couldn't do it. I switch hands and have no problems. I can flip all day without having to touch the bait with my hand too.
  12. Costa's w/ 580 lenses. They really make a big difference. They really make colors stand out. They make all colors brighter. For instance, I was doing yard work in the spring and i was raking up the dead grass then the sun came out and I put on the glasses. After that all the brown spots really stood out.
  13. I will have to try fishing the lipless crank bait some more but its tough to get confidence in a new bait under those conditions.
  14. On those days when the sun is high, there is no wind and you have gone hours without a bite what bait will you use to avoid getting skunked? For me its a senko or 4" spider grub with an 1/8th oz weight.
  15. looks like its time to switch to braid or braid with a leader.
