Best Casting Reel For Me?
i'd put the lfs at the bottom of the list i purchased 2 when they first were released and i wasn't impressed and believe me i really wanted to like them, did i get a couple of duds maybe but the braking system and just overall feel of the reel was just not what i was expecting. the brakes on the reel were horribly inconsistent. the diawa you can pretty much set the cast control on the loose side ( just enough to take side play out or even a tad of side play in the spool and set the dial on 4-5 and throw just about anything. they are very user friendly. the tourney mg i cannot speak for.

Best Casting Reel For Me?
X2 the excelers are a hard reel to beat for the price, they palm great , have choices in gear ratios , braking is consistent , after a little bearing flushing and proper lube they cast very well and they are super easy to dial in. great everyday workhorse and you can buy one for under well under 100 bucks, you can't go wrong!

Micro Guides And Leaders?

What Size Braid For Worm Rig?
i like 40lb for all a round worm rig , maybe go up to 50 if your throwing weighted or creature baits into sloppier stuff, i'd say you can't really go wrong with either

Line Diameter For Baitcasting Reels?
everything from unweighted plastics ,top waters, crank baits , spinners and buzz, jigs and frogs. i fish everything in the spectrum with braid obviously the 65lb is for heavier cover applications. but i have had no reason to go any lighter than 40lb it doesn't dig in and i can throw as much distance as i'd ever need w/ 40lb on my scorpion. i don't throw any super light finesse stuff.

For The Chronarch Ci4+ Fans
ditto, i don't understand the obsession w/bearing count in a reel. shimano uses QUALITY bearings were they are needed.

For The Chronarch Ci4+ Fans
dollar for dollar i would put it up there as one of the best reels out there! the review just firms up what owners of the reel already know.

Kistler Helium 3 Rods Any Good?
fished klx's and H3's extensively last year , fabulous rods i can't see how anybody would not enjoy them at there price points.

Right Handed Right Hand Retrieve?
you would think rod would always gravitate towards the dominant arm, but the opposite seems true. for me working a lure , hook sets and fighting a fish the control on the rod is much more important than which hand is retrieving. i am right hand dominant and aways use lefty reels although i can reel righty also but with the rod in my left arm i struggle and don't have near the action or control once the bait is in the water especially action baits and my sets are not near as good. as far as casting side i guess i'm lucky because right or left casts feel equally as good in both distance and accuracy obviously i'd be switching hands for retrieve when casting opposite but that becomes second nature. i guess there is no right or wrong just different strokes for different folks

Are The Expensive Rods Really Worth It?
what i've come to see is theres lots of rods in the mid to higher $100 dollar range that are up to par with the high dollar rods , kistlers klx is a perfect example. i actually prefer my klxs to other rods i have or have owned in the past that were double the money. now don't get me wrong if i was rich enough to own an arsenal of mega dollar megabass rods i would but it would just be purely for the finishes and the boutique styling that goes along w/ them. i would say expensive rods are worth it if you have the money why not? Would i ever spend $400+ on a rod again, absolutely not. i'd sum it up in car terms as a corvette z06 vs a ferrari , ferrari's got the ultra exotic flair but the vette more than gets the done for a lot less dough.

Best And Worst (Hardest) State To Fish?
i havnt fished in a lot of different states outside of Massachusetts and Connecticut but i will say being on the Ct. River on a beautiful 75 degree september day is a little piece of heaven! on the flip side sitting here at 1 o'clock in the morning posting up on fishing forums when it hasn't been above freezing for a freaking week and theres still a good month and a half of this dreaded winter left totally sucks!!

Bearing Recommendation For Chronarch 51E
hawgtechs are good for the money , but in my scorpion 1001xt i ended up going back and forth between stock and hawgtechs and i ended up keeping the stock bearings that are flushed and propely lubed , theres really not a noticeable difference in casting between the 2 but the ceramics are louder which i just wasn't a fan of. hawgtechs are cheap enough and there a great company so i'd say buy them and test out yourself but don't expect any magic

Duckett Terex Rod
i'll get a few tonight and put them up

Duckett Terex Rod
well i received the rod today and it looks and nice fit and finish on the handle and reel seat area feels , guides nice and straight , nice finish and the black and white scheme is different but a nice change from my solid black rods and i would rate the mh action of the rod as pretty spot on as to what i would expect a 7" mh rod to feel like , it's freezing out here but i threw a couple reels on it and zinged a few in the area of my local river that aren't frozen over. exsence dc reel felt good on but just a tad on the heavy side for my liking and better suited to my longer heavier kistlers , scorpion 1001xt felt good like always and a ci4+ which i think will be the setup for me on this rod. figured i'd just throw out a quick review for anybody conmtemplating picking one up. overall i very happy and in the $150.00 range this is definitely a rod to consider.

Duckett Terex Rod
anybody try one of these out yet? i was looking for a shorter (7' or under) rod for mainly throwing frogs and some soft plastics so i ordered there rojas 7' mh frog rod. i've been a faithful kilster rod guy but figured id try something new out. i usually throw frogs on heavy longer rods but being a shorter guy i find if I'm frogging off the bank and not off the boat my 7'3 and 7'6 can be a little akward for walking and action. i'm just hoping it's not a noodley MH and has some backbone.
