  1. Occassionally, just for fun, I'll take the rear treble off of a Jitterbug, and replace it with a T-rigged trick worm. This gives the jitterbug sort of a rat tail.
  2. Shakey head, Weightless T-rig, Drop shot. Watermelon/chrtr tail, Junebug, Bubblegum.
  3. Agreed, no right or wrong way.
  4. Honestly, between the two, I prefer to use it on a spinning rod.
  5. Spinning or baitcasting? Hah, I once used a drop shot with the line tied to the end of a long stick. Worked ok.
  6. Yeah, that's good on Cabelas. But ultimately, I for one, will certainly not order from them any more. Im really not a fan of this practice of splitting up the order into different packages. Ive done it twice now, and it has totally turned me off.
  7. Im partial to Red-Eye Shads as well
  8. Nah, trying new baits is never a mistake. Doing so, is the natural progression of learning.
  9. True, the kicker fish is close.
  10. Oh. Alright, so be it then.
  11. Hmm... Im gonna have to go ahead and respectfully disagree. Those other baits may be of similar design style, but the Keitech's swimming action while it is in the water, does set itself apart from all, or most others.
  12. Ok, now how does one delete this subject thread? I got my answer, and this no longer needs to be a posted topic.
  13. Oh, ok - Cool Thanks
  14. Well, regardless of how it is rigged on the jig, and while the bait will certainly be in the upright position, often (not always), the claws will still droop and sag. Or are very slow to rise, which I suppose is ok. I just gather that these claws were just not intended to stand up as well as others. Which again is fine since, as they say, most strikes occur on the fall.
  15. Im not seeing the option for posting a video from youtube or similar sites.
  16. My tackle collection only contains baits that I have confidence in. I find that the proverbial "go-to bait," is mostly psychological.
  17. Tube Ugly Otter Rage Craw Sweet beaver Am considering also trying a Riot Baits Fuzzy Beaver. Maybe.
  18. I suppose so.
  19. My preferred buzz frogs are Gambler Cane Toads, and Rage Tail Shads. Rage Toads are also excellent.
  20. Agreed, I tend to be of the opinion that if I have to put forth that much ingenuity just to keep my bait working properly, I would probably opt for something else.
  21. The Gambler Ugly Otter has become my new favorite "beaver bait." Ive discovered a couple of things with this particular bait design. 1. If you pop it just right, you can get the big tail flapping for a short time during a straight retrieve 2. Cutting the middle seams of the two smaller appendages will get them kicking during a straight retrieve, but will often get hung up on the larger tail. 3. By pinching off the two smaller legs totally, a straight retrieve will get the big tail kicking like a Hyper Freak very easily without any extra effort. This is new to me, only because Ive only ever used this thing as a bottom bouncer.
  22. Hmmm..thats interesting. Cant relate though, I havent had that problem before. Ive used both O-ring and zip-tie methods, and both seem to work without any problems. (Now watch..I probably just jinxed myself.)
