Going to try my hand at night fishing again and was just wondering what others would recommend?

Heartbreaking when you miss fish I know, a month ago on Toledo bend I got a bass that was easily in the 9-11lb range up to the side of the boat and it broke the line. I throw back bass that weigh over 4lbs, and I would've released that one but It still upset me big time. My suggestion when your fishing soft plastics such as wacky worms, flukes is to push the hook all the way through the plastic and pull it back into the plastic so the hook will have little plastic resistance when a fish does bite. This will increase your chances of hooking up properly and will help decrease heartbreak. Hope this helps

Same here mad basser, I too am going to pick up a ghost saturday on my way to toledo bend. Based on my research the ducketts are just really good rods. In case you didnt know Duckett will release a micro magic pro here in the next few months it should be a really good rod that fixes problems of the first micro magic

Just wondering if anyone can provide feedback for the Duckett Ghost rods.

Duckett fishing is releasing new revisions of their popular fishing rods. The Duckett micro magic pro, Duckett Terex (Dean Rojas) endorsed, and new and improved white ice line. The micro magic pro which replaces the micro magic won 2014 icast "best freshwater rod". My question is does anyone know when these new rods will hit the shelves?

Chrome or grey rattle traps have always worked best for me, however the hooks on traps are sub-standard in my opinion and you wind up losing lots of fish. I would recommend looking at spro versions of lipless crankbaits simply because they come with better gamakatsu hooks and they should minimize losing em.

Berkley sells one for about 19 dollars. Purchased one after catching a 9lb bass and tested it using a 5lb dumbbell and its within an ounce of accuracy.
