New Kayak Search
Thanks guys, lots of helpful stuff. I will look for a demo day around me and try a few out. Fin stalker youre right on the point with being able to stand but also cover water easier - thats the only drawback of my ascend. let you know how it goes!

New Kayak Search
Looking to upgrade my kayak sometime later this year and have been doing some research. Last year i bought an Ascend FS128T from my friend - its incredibly stable but a monster to paddle far. Also have started going out on the upper Potomac and it takes alot of effort to manuever in moving water. What would you all recommend based on the kind of fishing I am doing? I have been looking at the ride 115x, Coosa, Cuda 12 but I figure there are others that would be good as well. Most of my fishing is on ~600 acre reservoirs near my house, and I am paddling anywhere from 1-2 miles on my way back to the ramp. I normally cut my fishing off that far away because i dont feel like paddling any further than that but would like to fish more of the lake. Standing up and fishing is going to be a necessity after I was spoiled with my current houseboat. Also something that handles rivers better would be nice, the ascend just spins in circles as i drift down the river and fish and i think i will be doing more of that in the future. I would keep it in my garage and anything more than 13 feet won't fit. Any thoughts?

Maryland's Who's who!
Anyone gone out to triadelphia this year? Ive hit rocky gorge a few times, the last couple weeks i have only been catching one or two though. The WSSC pass covers them both so I figure I will head to triadelphia for my next trip

Maryland's Who's who!
Is there any vegetation in Artemesia? They cleared it all out a few years ago but i havent been back there recently. Used to catch a few bass there as a kid with a bobber and worms haha

Bps Ascend Fs12T Sot Kayak?
I was looking at these for a while and finally decided to get the 12T. Told my buddy and he was selling his 128 he bought last year for 500, it was too heavy for him to cartop. I bought that one, just got it out on the water on Sunday. Really stable, i sealed up the hatches and where the connections are in the scupper holes bc he said it leaked and i got no water in it. I'm 25 and have a pickup so the weight isnt an issue, but it is really heavy. I would have passed on it if i had to cartop it. Its my first kayak, and after one day on the water I like it alot. But if i was paying full price I would have gone with the 12T. Both seem like a great way to get off the bank, 12 is just less expensive and lighter

Bait Casters?
I got a BPS pro qualifier last year as my first baitcasting reel, its been great. I would highly recommend it, i rarely birdsnested it even when learning to cast it. I kept the magnetic brakes up near the max for a while, that helped me not get massive knots haha

Maryland's Who's who!
Hey guys, I'm looking to get a kayak this spring to get out on the water. Any recommendations? I'd probably prefer a sit-on but Im not set on that, if you can stand up and fish that would be even better. Looking to spend under 600. Just for reference I'm 6' 200.

Maryland's Who's who!
I just started to get into bass fishing alot more this year after using bait pretty much all the time before and am looking for different places to go. I live right by lake frank and lake needwood but those dont seem to be very productive. I like going to black hills and rocky gorge, i fish from the bank unless i feel like renting a canoe at black hills. I'm looking for some other places to go to mix it up, has anyone fished cash lake in the patuxent refuge? I tried to attach two pictures here but couldn't figure that out either ha.
