  1. that's what I get from skin hooking
  2. I'll second that opinion.
  3. No Problem Catching Biggun's for us
  4. Second for the drop shot. You could use a wacky rig stick worm on your dropshot if you wanted too.
  5. Reaction baits. Reason being that the most prevelant food source where I fish is GIANT shad.
  6. "Extremely abrasion resistant." Hmmm....
  7. Seems like you're all arguing over something trivial. Bass tend to eat upwards, rather than downwards, but that does not mean they will turn their nose up at a sculpin or crayfish. Bottom feeders are like plecos. Ever seen a bass that looks like a common aquarium pleco? I think not.
  8. I'd like to get in on this deal as well
  9. I think 40lb on a 6'8" MH is probably good for frogs from the bank. I sling 50lb on a 7' MH for my frog bank fishing. Works just fine.
  10. Oh, yeah lot worse.. Lol. Thats more like 4-5 hours, not so fun.
  11. This dude was my first ever baitcaster. It was also my dad's first baitcaster.
  12. Not that bad IMO. Between Clarksville and Louisville is probably about 45 minutes tops.
  13. This. I have no problem keeping fish buttoned with Nylon line on 95% of my lures. Braid and fluorocarbon have their uses, and they fill specific niches for me.
  14. Logical point. I guess you could some how line the edges similar to an insert on a worm weight? Do inserts kill bullet weight sensitivity?
  15. When a fish are following, killing the retrieve and/or a quick snap of the rod tip will often trigger a reaction strike.
  16. Almost bought one, but just wasn't my style. Waited and ended up getting something used that I liked a heck of a lot better.
  17. Same here. If I'm pitching a jig to a standing tree, I want that bait to fall vertically right to where the bass are, rather than swimming away from them. If I'm casting around to drag it on the bottom or whatever not as big of a deal because I'm looking for fish, and trying to get a decent idea of bottom composition.
  18. Its the 8.0 Squarebill. Wouldn't make sense to be XD as that stands for extra deep. The KVD Squares are as follows:1.0 XS 1.5 2.5 8.0
  19. The Elite is not waterproof. Is their a waterproof housing for it?
  20. Often times those can be nice though. I fish some locally managed places that offer awesome fishing.
