Say It Ain't So.....xcalibur Hi-Tek Tackle Going Away??
Reading the "Day On the Lake" in this months Bassmaster, and saw Jason Christie was fishing a bait called the Booyah Boss Pop... Maybe a reincarnation of the Zell Pop? I'm guessing that the Xcalibur line of lures is pulling less cash then when first introduced, so they are probably going to re brand and re price the same baits to pull more $$$$

Dropshotting For Smallies... With No Sonar?
I would start with a crankbait to feel the bottom and find fish, and then slow down. Another good way to feel out the bottom is a football jig.

Fenwick Aetos 6'6" A661Mlmc Help
Lots of people like using mid or high gear ratio reels when shallow cranking because shallow cranks create less resistance than deeper/larger baits. As for me, I only have 1 rod for all crankbait applications, so I use a low gear ratio, but the Bait Monkey has peeked my curiosity in a Tatula for Squarebills, and a new, longer rod for all other crankbaits, so that will change soon

Say It Ain't So.....xcalibur Hi-Tek Tackle Going Away??
No! Why would they do that!?!? Xcalibur Hi-Tek is by and far one of my favorite lure brands for everything from topwater, to Jerkbait, to lippless, to squarebill. What's happening to the rest of their lineup? Will these be the same baits with a different name? Will the price change? Gaaahhhh!!

Favorite Rain Gear
Lots of people here give raving reviews of Cabela's Guidewear rain gear. I have no experience with any rain gear, and am thinking about purchasing some, so I'm interested to hear what others say in this thread.
