  1. Thanks for all the info guys!! Really looking forward to putting one on my rods and give it a spin!
  2. That's actually the model I was looking at. I've heard it is super smooth, and casts a mile away with ease.
  3. I'm looking at the Lews Speed Spool series baitcasters, was wondering what everyone thought of them? I've read great things about the reel, just wanted to get some feedback about em. Thanks again guys!!
  4. Was wondering if anyone has tried this reel. On paper it looks great, just wondering if anyone has put it on the water. Thanks!
  5. I've tried Seagur redlabel and I've tried Viscous both lines I'm extremely happy with. Currently I'm still using Viscous.
  6. It was a great day on the water! And it does look like a watermelon candy color but it's clear and in the water only the blue flakes actually show. Either way the bass loved it!
  7. Welcome to the forums
  8. My dad and I decided to go to Lake Welsh this morning. Which for those who don't know the lake it's a power plant lake making it warm throughout the year. The wind was about 20-25 mph making it pretty rough to fish. We hid in some coves and pockets and roughed through it. We did well overall with 20 fish. They were staying on grass beds and brush piles in about 10ft of water. I actually used a brush hog color I have never seen before and that's all I caught them on!
  9. Hello John and welcome!!
  10. I don't really throw anything that big. Mainly things like flukes, brushhogs, senkos. Those are the type baits I fish weightless. What length rod would you recommend? Like a 7' MH?
  11. I do alot of weightless fishing in some cover. Such as heavy grass, around trees. I'm not a huge fan of spinning rods ( however I know I'm going to have to learn to like them) what rod would you guys suggest? Not brand wise i'm actually asking about power and action rods. Thanks for the help.
  12. I am trying out the Okuma Krios, and the Shimano Chronarch 200E.
  13. Can't say thank you enough for showing me this!! Already have two reels on the way!! Thanks again and thank you to everyone else for all the helpfull information.
  14. Welcome to the forums!
  15. awesome man! I will have to see if anything will be close to me for the demo days!! Thanks again!!
  16. I've fished in the Tyler area a few times. But I mainly fish in the Mount Pleasant area or Lake Fork at times
  17. ill look into them. I've had a bad experience with Quantum reels before but I'll give them a look. Thanks!!
  18. Just like Slefler said. Figure out why they are on that side via brush pile, or maybe even some rocks on that. Or even another thought the wind was pushing the bait fish to that side so the bass were hanging out on that side for that reason.
  19. That is true. I have been to Bass Pro, Dicks Sporting Goods, and many other places to test out what I like. Just gotta find that magical ONE haha
  20. Awesome! Thanks again Darren, I am going to start doing some reading!!!
  21. Hello everyone. I am looking at buying a new reel, and I am currently looking at either the Okuma Citrix, or the new Shimano Curado. I was wondering has anyone tried both of these? Thoughts on either one? And which one is the better buy for the $$$. Thanks!!
  22. Ah yeah i've been to Plano SEVERAL times. Quick question for ya since I see your name is "Kayak Fishing" what type of Kayak do you have? I have actually been thinking of getting one since I cannot afford a boat.
  23. Hello everyone! My name is Colin I live in Mount Pleasant, TX. Which is just an hour south of Dallas. I enjoy to fish however I mostly bank fish due to the lack of a boat. I have been fishing my enitre life so for 22 years! My father and I enjoy going to Lake Fork several times to enjoy a day of fishing. I have attached a picture of a nice bass I cought on a local pond.
