Hey, are farm ponds w/ depths of about 10-15 feet done for the season? I don't know about this, but it's been said that as temperature of the water decreases, the bass go deeper into the water to seek warmer water there and they won't eat until pre-spawning period.

1) Perch/Walleye 2) Salmon 3) Bluefish 4) Flounder 5) Fluke 6) Catfish (I usually don't cook it myself, I bring it to a restaurant for others to cook it.) 7) Crappie

I would usually use the heavier spinnerbaits to fish with since it'll vibrate more often.... T-rigged plastic worms barely have any noise to it, thus it won't be as "attractive" in the rain. I usually switch from a T-Rigged worm to a dark-color Wacky-Rigged senko from there; it makes alot of movement in the water.

Like what FatBoy said, you have to grip it hard and not let go, even if it budges. Sometimes when I try to take a pic of it while holding it, the LMB sometimes flops while your holding it (well, that's only if it's not tired out). Just have a really stronge grip on the bass, and it'll be way easy. Well, I would think they everyone here can grip the fish with their bare hands, but if your still scared then just use gloves for starters, and then go without one in the future. All you'll really have at the end is like (what LBH said) a chaffed finger, almost like sandpaper...You hand won't bleed, and you obviously won't die. Think of the finger as a "Trophy" to remind yourself you caught some bass! And welcome!

Haha, sorry I wasn't being too specific. Just to make it a bit less complicated: In a local 2 acre pond with depths of about 8-9 feet deep In the summer Air temperatures about 69-70 degrees

How would the wind speed, direction, and duration affect bass in the area? or better yet, any fish? Because of winds, it usually picks up the current a little more....how will the current of the water, being either rough or calm, affect bass or any other fish? Rain varies from drizzle, heavy showers, etc. etc......how will the different "types" of rain affect bass or any other fish? And if rain and wind are combined, how will that affect bass?

Hey, I've been using live baitfish for quite sometime and I recently switched to spinnerbaits. Spinnerbaits (most are Strike Kings/Booyah Buzzbaits) have been working pretty well (but not as well as baitfish) and I've been catching about 1 or 2 less bass than I would with baitfish (around 3-4 per day w/ spinnerbaits) The problem is, I've never been introduced into the soft plastic world of fishing, and I'll need a bit of help on that. I already know how to TR/Texposed rig the lures, & the soft plastics I'll be using will be "5 Senkos, "5 Flukes, "6 Slug-gos. I've never really tested the lures in action. I plan to test the lure in a local pond as well w/ a max depth of about 6-7 feet of water. The follow questions refer to Senkos, Flukes, and Lunker City Slug-gos when fishing in a pond. What type of structure would you normally fish these lures? The way you retrieve most texas rigged soft plastics is to: (slowly or quickly) lift the rod up and down? Do you add jerks when you lift the lure? Once in the water, when will you raise the lure and when will you let the lure sink? When will the strike occur the most? Thanks in advance 8-)
