  1. Sound like everyone is pretty well taken care of.
  2. That rod is sweet! Enjoy! What are you thinking about mounting on that bad boy?
  3. Fishing stuff is pretty light for me as it is harder for me to tell everyone what I want. I did get a new scale, some clippers, and some sweet gloves for winter fishing that will also work with my touch screens.
  4. Thanks guys! I will have a seat for sure. I love getting out but sometimes its tough to find good people to go. I have been waterfowl hunting for the last 15+ years and looking forward to some fishing outside of the spring.
  5. I don't know if this counts but I bought some Megabass 110's this year for the fall fishing in the Ozarks and I just switched to a different color and the first cast it hangs up off a point. I didn't want to run up on the point before fishing it with a jig and as the boat drifted and line got slack. After a few min I thought the line was laying next to the boat so I hit the trolling motor and it wrapped up my line. All was not lost yet until the wind pushed me away from the bait and I couldn't get the line out and it finally snapped. We tried for 15-20 min trying to get that line snagged and no luck. I guess with Fluorocarbon it sinks so it would be harder to find. We gave up and when to eat and fish a few other spots. I came back to fish the point again and tried for awhile again with no luck. I was ready to give up, probably my last cast and I felt the line get heavy and here comes my brand new 110. I learned my lesson on that one and have since invested in a plug knocker to increase the chance of getting it out. I felt like and idiot and then elated that I got it back.
  6. I am looking to plan a trip this February so a buddy and I can get some solid fishing in and the wife wants to travel somewhere she has not been. The wife is due in late march and we will be bringing our 3 year old so it would be good to have things to do near by. We were thinking Lake Fork but we are open to other ideas if people think it is overrated. We would like to have the opportunity at solid #'s each day with the good chance for some big fish (wouldn't we all ). We would ideally get a cabin or house on the lake with a guide for the first few days until we get a good feel for things. Please let me know if I can provide any other helpful information and thanks in advance on any input as it is always nice to get input from people who have good information from previous experience. We will be leaving from Kansas City, MO and looking 10-12 hours but less is always preferred. I think Fork is about 8 and we will be towing Z21 ranger.
  7. I got some Elite 3701 for large and another for small cranks and I like them pretty well.
  8. Zoom super chunks, paca craws, havoc pit boss, Missile d bombs, Reaction Innovation Sweet Beaver
  9. Thanks guys and some good lures there. FIT I know the guys at Rogers very well. I used to buy from them at the old store and hit the newer store pretty heavy too. I haven't bought much fishing stuff from them until just recently but if you saw my garage with all the ducks and geese you would think I have a serious problem. A buddy and I have been stocking up on some new rods, IMX, and shimano reels. They always seem to have the best prices. All rods are 30% off right now.
  10. Ok guys I am new on the forum although I have been lurking for a while and decided to join up and start making some posts. Anyway I am getting back in to bass fishing and I went through all my tackle from 15-20 years ago and I am probably not going to keep too much of it so it is time to start planning out my purchases vs. just going into the store or buying a bunch of random stuff online. I have looked at the different organization ideas everyone has done and I am thinking that I want to create boxes for all the main categories. I thought it would be good to start with the crankbaits and build 3-4 boxes: shallow 0-5 ft. medium runner: 6-12 ft. and deep runners 12+ ft. I thought I would throw it out to you guys and see what baits would be a must have for the shallow box and what colors you would buy. I am thinking my budget would be around $250 but some may say that it too high or too low. I currently have: SPRO little john 50 CHR BLACK BACK and SPRING CRAW LC Fat CB Citrus Shad, Table Rock Shad, and Chart Rootbeer LC SKT MR MS Crack and MS Gunmetal shad SK KVD 1.5 sexy shad Baby 1 minus fire red, Tennessee shad, Fire shad, Grey Ghost, Pearl/Black Back What should I add to round this out and give my the variety in type and color?
  11. Crappie for dinner and got to be anything offshore after that.
  12. Pretty funny but my name is Anthony too and I just created my account last night although I have been lurking for the last year. I have been spending most of my time here as I just picked up an 07 ranger last year and getting back into bass fishing. I live north of Kansas City in Excelsior springs and I am just amazed at all the great info on this site.
