Daiwa Tatula's, How Do You Like Them?
i have the LFS speed spool - honestly i don't dislike it but it also doesn't stand out in my arsenal. The one thing i hate is the play between the handle and the reel - the little side the side action of the reel handle. I hate that! My Daiwa Zillion TWS is awesome - looking to get some tatulas and compare them together. EVeryone is correct when you have to get used to the size, it's a little bulkier but definitely a great reel.

St Croix Ltb Series Of Rods
I have 2 LTBs - I am in the market for more. Construction wise - I've beaten it to hell and I am VERY impressed with how it has been holding up. I've had issues with other similar priced rods with the eyes of the rod coming off or starting to crack - not the LTBs.

South Jersey Bass Fishing
Tommy, from what time are you fishing? I've been seeing the most of the activity in the AM. Haven't really fishing in the late PM but we are in the summer time and bass tend to be pretty lazy during the day. Not saying that they won't bite but you've got to really drop it on their face at times.

What Should You Spend More On, A Rod Or Reel
I feel that the the dollar goes a lot longer on a quality reel. The reel will certainly give you way more ROI being that if it's your go to - you will certainly have it on multiple different setups and more than likely, a newer rod over time. It also houses line that certainly isn't cheap. Bird nests add up and add to the premium of a cheap reel that just can't be dialed in. Don't get me wrong, I've been 50/50 on this one until I started to get higher end reels and really noticed the difference. I just feel that you're going to be actually mechanically using the reel (pitching, casting, flipping, etc) way more than you are going to be fighting a fish. Besides, the rod isn't going to lose you fish unless it breaks. 99% of the time it is human error, lack of experience, or just plain old bad luck. Theres plenty of low cost rods packed with adequate specs out there that will do the job and do it well with some time out on the water. Just my opinion.

Anyone Fish Assunpink Lake?
FD is actually fishing the Assunpink tournament today. Him and I were out there yesterday prefishing. We caught most of the fish early with our biggest later in the day in the 10-12ft range. Seems like it is still very healthy.

Who Here Sprays Scent Into Their Bags Of Plastics?
I use hog tonic. Usually I spray a generous amount inside the packaging just to keep them oily and lubed up and not drying out. The smell is quite pungent but I love garlic so I can deal with it.

South Jersey Bass Fishing
Glad we had some catching out there. FD and I went out onto Rainbow. It was one of those days where the fish just didn't want to go after anything. Ended the day catching two pickerals. Nice day though!

Roof Rack For Rods On Sedan
Wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for a product that can hold your rods on the roof the car. I drive a sedan with back seats that don't come down due to the hybrid battery. I've only seen a setup from a distance where a sedan had around 4-5 rods on the roof of the car. Looked like a quality setup. Not trying to spend a arm and leg over it since I can still travel as of right now with my front seat propped all the way back and down with the rods laying on them.

Crankbait Hook Set?
Have never really ever had issues with losing fish on the trebles. Honestly, sometimes they are a pain to get all the hooks out. Funny thing is, I just lost a fish over the weekend because he jumped. Other than that, don't remember the last time they popped out. I would just make sure you're not setting the hook like you would a texas or other soft plastics rigs. It should just be a smooth sweep as the rod loads up and you're starting to reel down on the fish. I love crank bait fishing!

Most Productive Technique?......(For Numbers)
You'd think but they still attack them on the initial fall. Especially the smaller bass! It would theoretically make more sense to buy the 3" senko but theres honestly no reason to. The senkos rip up so easily that you could just rip them in half and get additional use out of the ones you're using already to wacky rig. Might as well reuse and repurpose the one that is all messed up.

Most Productive Technique?......(For Numbers)
Cut a senko in half and wacky rig it. Anything and everything will go after it. Quality will suffer but you'll catch way more fish.

So I guess the Zodias doesn't come with that Hook Keeper that I see on every picture? Anyone have any insight on this?
