Got three setups. Newest is the Zillion TWS on the Zillion Rod. Then I have the AG Revo STX on a LTB. Lastly, Lew's Speed Spool LFS on a St. Croix Mojo Bass. Can't wait to sling that TWS though. Edit. Crap. All my photos are too big. Doh!

Guys, I'm itching! Need to get my fix. All the local lakes and ponds are frozen for the most part. Anyone know of any spots on the Schuylkill or Deleware River I can fish off the bank and have a lot of fun? Help me out!

I've got the speed spool LFS. There are a couple extra upgrades for a little bit more upgrade but not enough for me to really justify spending more money. Lews really does make a great product and I happy to purchase it after reading up on them and looking at others personal reviews. You can't go wrong. Even with the $60 American Hero!

Had the Rage and it snapped as I was practicing flipping in my living room. I do honestly feel that I had a dud but I did not buy another and just got a LTB. Along those lines, I wish they didn't use clear epoxy around the guides because it does show how crooked the are sometimes. I couldn't find another to replace without some kind of flaw. Must of looked at a bad batch because I have heard nothing but great things on them. The rage was $150 at the time which was a little over a week and a half ago. I really like the mojo series which I do have as well.

Fished today. Caught one bass and a couple pickeral. Bass was caught on a black/blue chatter bait along with some of the pickeral. btw, i used to live in maryland. Where did you fish turtle?

I just got the STX on a LTB. Let me know if you hear a grinding noise when your magnetic brake is on max and you start reeling. If anyone has this reel or other reels that do it, please chime in.

yeah the only reason i had to call it was because i went to the other side of the lake and it was frozen over. I said screw it. I'm going to get back out there tomorrow and see what what happens. I'll try your jig paused for 30 seconds method.

A buddy of mine and myself were looking to joining lunker hunters. We're pretty hooked in and fishing any chance we get. Where do you usually fish?

It was creaking with and without the reel.

I've heard so many great reviews on the Speed Spool that I ordered myself one on a Mojo Bass rod MHF 7'1. I currently have a Abu Garcia Revo STX on a St. Croix LTB. I feel like both are going to be great but I really like the speed spool and it's price point.

Ended up returning the Rage and getting a Legend Tournament 7'1 Medium. Took it out for a spin earlier today. Very light rod. No sounds or imperfections that I can really notice. Hopefully this is the one!

Literally had me baffled as well. Been pitching all my life. I was pitching about 10-15 ft ft in the living room and I'm holding the lure on my hand and starting my to put just a bit of load on the tip and then snap.

It does. especially when I have it in hand and wiggle the rod up and down. Creak sounds like its coming right where the reel is about to be mounted.

Ugh! Yeah it's quite annoying. Sometimes you don't hear it but mostly you can get it to make the noise. So annoying, now I have to take it right back and explain why this one isn't going to work as well.

So I just got this one New Year's eve for a present from my father. I love how light it is. Paired it with a Abu Garcia Revo STX. Brought it back from and was practicing pitching in my living room when all of a sudden the tip literally snaps right off. It sounded so brittle that I was sitting there shocked. Got it replaced. Brought the new one home, now the bottom portion of the rod where the reel sits creaks everytime I am motioning a cast/shake(?). Is this normal? Am I being paranoid? I have another combo on it's way. Got the St. Croix Mojo Bass with Lews Speed Spool LFS. Starting to get scared. Lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
