If you are getting a truck for sure within the next couple years maybe look at a "T" bar like extend-a-bed. It's what I use... 100 $ on amazon (or more fancy expensive models out there), works great for my 14' cuda with a 5'5" box on the truck. Won't work for the car probably but if you can hold out it's probably a good option.

Not sure if you had already but i'd check with local shops about "special" ordering a rod in.... My local shops selection is not the greatest but they will order in a wide variety of items. We get screwed in Canada for shipping / brokerage.... My choice if not local or travelling to the states would be TW during a major sale to eat up some of the brokerage fees. Where are you from? if near me I can recommend a shop; pm me if you want.

tw has the "jerkbait" crucial on sale right now m/f might be something to check out... not sure what croix seconds go for though probably some good deals I bet.
