  1. Yes, I'm talking about the spinning reels. I've used some light ones for trout but never for bass. I've just noticed several guys using them in fishing shows now.
  2. So do you guys run the gamut of fishing styles and lures or do you narrow it down to a few specialty techniques? Whats do you do the best and most successful at ?
  3. The water needs to warm up soon because it looks like some are going stir crazy.....
  4. So I see bass fishers using baitcast mostly but I see them using spincast equipment at times. Is it for lighter lures or what?
  5. I fish from a boat. Luckily I have buddies with boats so I get to tag along. I love fishing these lakes. I ledge fished some last year but I used jigs mostly. I don't even own many cranks yet. I'm learning as I go. I was raised fishing ponds from the bank so this is a big change for me. Im getting the fever pretty bad. Thanks for all the replies everyone.
  6. Fished all my life but new to fishing big water bass. I fished Ky and Barkley this year and Im falling in love with it. I only have one rod and reel. I have a Lews SS1H and a 6'6 M action Vendetta rod that I got on sale. I can't buy a rod for every lure like you guys do. I want something that will cover as much as I can. I fished 3/8 football jigs and texas rig brush hogs mostly. SO...I was thinking of two new rigs. Would a 7 foot MH be a good bet? I am looking at a Falcon Bucco, a Duckett Ghost, or Denali Jadewood. Also...what about the action? Should I get fast or what? Probably will stick with Lews reels. PS...Im talking baitcast as well. Thanks
