  1. Poor boys tubes have a couple colors that match that well. That is what I bed fish with
  2. Are you talking about the lower part by the river or up farther where you can wade?
  3. Perryville bass casters and there is a club in cape, I think it is called weekend warriors
  4. Mustad max flipping hook, 4/0 fits a 4” tube perfectly. For your situation as light a weight as you can get away with
  5. I fish tubes Texas rigged with a flipping hook for heavy cover situations in the spring. They come through almost anything, just need a stiff rod for the hook set
  6. I use mostly blue craw and black and blue, mostly on swing heads. Killer on Kentucky lake
  7. I will be going to loz april 6,7, and 8 and am looking for some different perspective. We are staying at robins resort in the glaize, so most of the time we stay in that area. In the past around that time I have had up and down success cranking, mostly with a dt6 in olive craw. I know I need to do more finesse techniques, especially on Sunday. We are not that good at fishing docks, so we usually try to fish where there aren’t that many. We will probably go somewhere else on Sunday, maybe linn creek. Thoughts on technique, areas, fish location would all be appreciated
  8. Did really well around the spawn with topwater. A six on a spro bronze eye Shad and two more sixes on a black cavitron buzzbait.
  9. I don't usually post much on here but I am so pumped about the way my spring has gone. During the winter I really wanted to work on my topwater fishing before the spawn, and it has worked! Three weeks ago I caught this one on a spro shad in about a foot of water, line was over a dock and she was just hanging there till I could get over there and grab her, then this one yesterday on a black cavitron buzzbait
  10. I have been catching fish shallow in south east mo, either on topwater or spawners. I caught about a 6 on a spro shad 2 weeks ago and missed one as big or bigger on a spro king daddy frog last weekend. Spawning pretty heavy now.
  11. The bass are really shallow in my home lake, in the weeds or spawning. I've been mostly either topwater fishing or bed fishing.
  12. Right now I own a bps 7ft medium cranking stick and a 7'10 powell max 3d medium heavy. I'm really getting into cranking here lately and need another rod. I'm looking for about a 7'6" for meduim diving cranks. The powell rod is very nice in a lot of ways but looking for something with better sensitivity for pulling crankbaits through trees, rocks, ect. I will probably have a revo winch on it, but open to suggestions about the reel too.
  13. I like the sound of the big piney to the gasconade, I've fished the big piney before and always wanted to fish the Gasconade. About where would you put in for that?
  14. I was thinking of taking a four day float trip somewhere in the ozarks for smallmouth and what ever else. Any suggestions on rivers and or lures and techniques? It would probably be in June.
  15. I just went cat-fishing for the first time this year yesterday in the Mississippi, Missouri Illinois area. Only had two bites but the first was a thirty seven pound blue, the other i missed but I think it was bigger yet. I'm sure were you are fishing is quit a bit different, but i would look for a fairly deep hole where they can get out of the current. An eddy, slough, something like that. What kind of catfish are you after?
