Lake of the Ozarks advise

Featured Replies

I will be going to loz april 6,7, and 8 and am looking for some different perspective.  We are staying at robins resort in the glaize, so most of the time we stay in that area.  In the past around that time I have had up and down success cranking, mostly with a dt6 in olive craw.  I know I need to do more finesse techniques, especially on Sunday.  We are not that good at fishing docks, so we usually try to fish where there aren’t that many.  We will probably go somewhere else on Sunday, maybe linn creek.  Thoughts on technique, areas, fish location would all be appreciated

Dock fishing and the first main depth change.

Probably still be a jerkbait bite by that point in the year, as well as some fish hitting spinnerbaits or flukes worked around the sides and ends of the docks.

Pretty far out to be guessing but at that time of the year I have had success with: flash mob jr. fished slowly crawled along the bottom on secondary points. Also try Texas rigged brush hog regular and baby. Texas rigged lizard can be a good choice. Also try a shakey head with a senko. Jerkbait could also be effective. If the water warms up I would try spinnerbait and crankbait. Looks like a few tournaments that weekend so the boat traffic will be pretty heavy.
