  1. I dont have any finesse shroomz right now, but I'm ordering some
  2. Thanks for the quick replies! Unfortunately its a sunrise to sundown only pond, (not like it matters -wink-), so night fishing would be tough. I will be sure to try some of the things mentioned and will update when I do!
  3. So, there is this pond close to where I live (thats pretty much the only reason I fish it), and it has been REALLY tough recently, literally, haven't seen anyone catch a bass out of it in a couple months. So, let me describe this thing and see if you guys cant help me out with some tips to catch something decent out of here... Currently, the water is stained Reddish Brown, and visibility is about 5 feet underwater. Pond is a sand bottom in the middle, (which is about 12 feet deep), and slowly turns into rocks and gravel as it gets closer to shore. It has areas with fallen trees into the pond, areas with marsh that extends into the water which fish swim through, and areas with Pylons from a old (and gone) bridge, the wood pylons were not removed though. Bluegill are currently spawning, the pond population consists of LMB, Bluegill, and a few types of catfish. Mainly channel I believe. Now, as to the lures I have caught fish on before, I have caught a couple good fish on Colorado Blade Spinnerbaits, a few dinks on small poppers, and quite a few dinks off of a Rebel Wee-Frog. I have heard stories that Hula Poppers at night, and spinnerbaits in the early morning are where its at, I personally haven't seen this. Bluegill are currently bedding, and bass entered post-spawn about a month ago. and lots of bullfrogs can be heard croaking around the pond. Thanks in advance!
  4. Its probably more because the lakes I fish are weird... I went out today to a pond nearby, to find that you could probably walk on top of the weeds if you tried... Another nearby lake has something wrong with it... its always muddy and there is too much cover, if thats even possible...
  5. Well theres an easy warranty claim... edit: sorry I just now realized how old this thread was...
  6. Looks like a blast to me! Sorry I had to!
  7. I have wanted a hollow body frog since I was like 10... finally decided to get one last year, second cast along some reeds, got a monstrous blowup, missed em' and haven't caught any on a frog since lol. Time to buy more frogs! #baitmonkey
  8. Ohhhh nooo! That gave me the chills.
  9. And all this happened on "Friday the 13th"... hmm...
  10. Road trip anyone? We can caravan there ?
  11. Exactly my thoughts. Even down to the channel names lol
  12. Hooks flying at you are never fun.... +1 Thats amazing... I wonder how that would look on a kayak...
  13. Anyone mind testing this? Mainly wondering if a laser mg or ah Spool will work with a Speed Spool SS1H. Might buy a laser mg or ah for parts for my speed spool ss1h
  14. I cant find schematics for the ss1h anywhere, anyone know of a place to find them? I tried mikes reels already... PS, if anyone knows, would a pro qualifier Metal Star drag and the clicker from it work?
  15. I traded away the laguna, but I think this would be a good rod for a Lews SS I bought, thanks for the advice! (I didnt notice it until now :I) Also, I like how our PB is very similar on our profiles haha
  16. I do in a pond down the street, usually later in the year. Probably sounds bogus, but I always see people hauling 4 to 6 lbers on the regular during fall on senkos.
  17. http://www.ebay.com/itm/182083640546 I think he does not understand the difference between the two, thank god for images lol
  18. I have a that friend all right, one of the ones that flings cranks past your face while pretending he caught a hog. Still good friends though
  19. Don't get anything lower than a PQ. I have a tourney special and this thing is worse than a Shakespeare agility.
  20. I just ordered a Speed Spool used off eBay, user claims it's a LFS but it's pretty obvious it's not. (Good deal though). Anyone have any ideas on adding a metal drag star and a clicker? Or if it's even possible? Also, what would I need to buy?
  21. On the topic of spring warm ups... Across the country in California we got temps up to 85f today where I am...
  22. Purchased this reel mainly because of availability locally (didn't want to deal with online shopping), so that said, I didn't have much to choose from. lol
  23. So I just bought a Daiwa Laguna 100hsa, and was wondering if there are any parts I should upgrade, (mainly wondering if I can buy a aluminum replacement frame). On a side note, what is a good inexpensive rod for the laguna for a all purpose setup? Thanks!
