  1. Just got a Lews BB1 Pro and need a good rod to pair it with for under $80. I'm pretty new to the baitcasters so I need some advice. What would all you pros recommend?
  2. UPDATE: I actually went a different path and got the lew's BB1 Pro in 7.1.1. I'm new to baitcasters so the braking system is going to be easier for me dial in and adjust. I also read a lot more about the gear ratios and determined the 7.1.1 will be better for the baits I throw. Also this is only my second baitcaster and first over $100 so I'm excited to get out and practice in the snow.
  3. Is the faster ratio better for buzz and crankbaits?
  4. I have a dilemma. I have narrowed down which new reel I want. I'm either going with the Abu Garcia STX or the Lews Tournament Pro. Both in 6.4.1. I just can't decide. What would you guys recommend?
  5. Thanks for all the feedback I am excited to get out and practice and I will use all the tips everyone gave me. You guys were very helpful.
  6. I have been bass fishing a lot since last season and am wanting to progress to using baitcasters. Walmart had the Abu Garcia Black Max low profile with the 7' MH rod on sale today for $50 so I picked it up. Will this combo be ok to use with plastics and top water baits? Also will it be a good combo to learn with?
