  1. I am probably going to get an elite 5 HDI in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone on here had any first hand experience with one?
  2. Shad rap 5 or 7 in natural shad and a jig.
  3. Saw someone in a center console flats boat in some pictures from the last flw event. I have fished some tournaments out of a Carolina skiff.
  4. My Carolina skiff only holds 12 gallons but I average about 4-5 miles to the gallon. I rarely make long runs as I just put in in the area I want to fish.
  5. I do think it would be comfortable doing that. A lot of time my buddy is standing on a cooler right behind my front deck and we never have any issues. Carolina skiff makes a very solid boat too.
  6. This is the only picture I have of my front deck right now, but it can give you an idea of what I have. Edit: Not sure why its warped looking, but it still gives the idea.
  7. I have a 17ft Carolina skiff that I bass fish from off the front deck and I love it. The j16 is a little scaled down but I have been in one before and it felt plenty stable to me. I have a 55 pound minn kota riptide(I fish fresh and salt) and it moves the boat good and doesn't drain the batteries fast at all.
  8. I have never really fished Greenwood before and was wondering if anyone on here did and had any general tips or tactics for the lake. Thanks in advance.
  9. The ACC is 11-1 right now. That's pretty dang good.
  10. I loved paying 2.40 for no ethanol the other day.

I am not exactly sure if the unpainted heads have the weedguard in or not. Will let yall know once I go look later.

Going to take a look tomorrow. He has some unpainted 3/8 heads with owner hooks. He has lots of other sizes too with mostly eagle claw hooks. He said he had a tackle company that went out of business and is selling the rest of the stuff off. Sounds like a good way for me to get started.
  13. Prespawn here most places. Someone said a power plant lake nearby had some males on the bed this past weekend.
  14. Saw 2.08 here last night.
  15. We still find some wild quail every now and then. We actually did pretty well this year when we got to go. We found 2 coveys in a day a couple of different times this year. Well have to try to get together sometime. My dad doesn't get to fish with me much as his business gets very busy, but im trying to get him to go some more this year.
  16. That does sound like a great day. You're right, God is good.
  17. I love a SxS. Me and my dad both prefer them for the quail and woodcock hunting we do. Those are some nice looking dogs. We have 2 llewellin setters and will be getting another puppy before long.
  18. I would go ahead and get the 52" simply for the fact that I would rather have too much and not need it than need it and not have it.

I am going to try and go look at all he has this week sometimes and I will ask him what kind of hooks he uses. Thanks for all the replies.
  20. I would look for somewhere covered and that has power. Not sure where you are wanting to keep it but I saw one on the road to dreher island state park that was advertising they had covered, electric spots available.
  21. Also heard he caught them all in one spot.

Is what won the SC Bass Federation tournament on the cooper river today. Heard he had one over 10, 2 over 9, and 2 pushing 7. That's a bunch of studs

That's what I had calculated it to out as. Sure beats 3 or more per jig!

Should have said in the first post that they are already painted and he has several different colors. Ill have to check on the hooks. Thanks for the input!
