Has somebody fastfowarded the clocks in Maine? Is it July 4th already ? Just crushing stones guys. Just got off of the phone with family to see when I could come up with dogs to start running in the woods and they told me July 4th sounds about right. Told me they're still buried.

Now that sounds like my kinda of club. Not one where everyone thinks they're the next KVD. Sounds like a good time.

I'm not being sarcastic when I write this post. I truly thank you as I've had a friend wanting me to join a club and hit a little circuit with him. I've been very leary in doing so for a multitude of reasons,but you have just helped me make up my mind. First off let me say when I fish I go at it mighty hard and just like any other human I want to catch fish. I'll fish in any weather that's safe and pretty much go anywhere, BUT ME personaly I fish to relax. I don't need a third job. I've trained bird dogs for a good number of years now and have seen first hand how some people can have something that's pretty nice and NEVER and I mean NEVER be happy. They always have to have a champion instead of being happy with a dog that will d**n near kill itself to go find a bird. Give it a try. If it's for you than you learned what makes you happy. Different strokes for different folk. Whatever you choose I wish you luck and HAVE FUN!!! Remeber something an ole timer told me once, he said boy, you're dead for long time.

What am I doing wrong? I fill everything out but no picture comes up to guess weight. Clue me in please maybe I don't have the top secret clearance or something but it's all a big mystery to me. Thanks guys

Don't really know the name but Google Pete gluszek , not sure if I spelled his last name right but he has a video of a knot him an ike use. I've used it for years can tie with your eyes closed, passes through any type of guide without problems and yes I've caught and never lost some hogs.

I know this has probably been asked and debated but here goes. Looking to spool up some reels. Am I understanding that most guys feel that you're better off, sensitivity, abrasion, memory the whole ball of wax, that lines such as Yozuri hybrid performs better than braid? For the past 2 seasons I've fished braid with flouro leaders. Yes it works but I don't know if I'm convinced it's the way to go. Everyone has his or her own opinion and why they use what they use and I'm all ears, our in this case eyes. Thanks

It's really nothing new. People have been fishing for Fluke that way for the last 30 years or so it just took awhile for some of the freshwater bass fishermen to hone in on it. It's all in the marketing friends.

Now someone is talking my language. Spend the whole month of Oct in Maine chasing the King, Partridge! Oh yea and woodcock too. This is what I truly live for walking behind a finely honed and trained bird dog. Here's where it gets a little dicey. In my world there ain't but two dogs that exist to do this job. A Setter or a Pointer. End of story. When I say pointer I mean one with a tail! The next part of this equation is a beautiful SxS. In 16 or 28. Love my Parkers and Foxes. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I'm not a fan of either but have fished both and can say IMHO and experience the duckett is a more sensitive and responsive rod. For ME the mojo was like fishing with a 2x4 with string.

Yea imagine that, He puts no ratings on his rods. Seems to me like this guy doesn't put forth much into anything. God forbid he should actually do some constructive work.
