MY BUDDY BOUGHT A $60 QUANTUM COMBO AT DICKS AND ALL IT DOES IS BACKLASH. THE PQ MIGHT BE A LITTLE HEAVY COMPARED TO HIGHER END BAITCASTERS BUT ITS A SOLID REEL FOR A SOLID PRICE. I HAVE 2 OF THEM. WORK GREAT AND YOU CAN REALLY ADJUST THEM WHEN I GET A BACKLASH ITS JUST ME BEING STUPID NOT THE REEL. I CAST INTO THE WIND ALL THE TIME TOO. TOOK ONE TO BASS PRO WITHOUT MY RECEIPT AND THEY SWAPPED IT OUT JUST CUZ I WANTED A DIFFERENT GEAR RATIO

It is a great reel. I have 2 in the 6.4.1 and 7.1.1 ratios. They feel really smooth and solid. If anything happens or you don't like it. You can't take it to bass pro for a exchange or refund. Bass pro makes some quality products. I would buy it if I were you.

I only used live bait when I was a kid. I'm in northern Illinois still have pretty cold water. I was fishing with my kvd 1.5 and kvd slash bait. Some old man caught 2 small 1lbers on minnows. I'm not jealous it was a good day of practice. Lol.

THIS IS THE KNOT I TIED SAME AS THE SAN DIEGO? I PULLED A 15FT BROKEN TREE LIMB OUT TO THE BANK WITH A PALOMAR AND 20LB FC AFTER I GOT MY RED EYE SHAD HUNG UP.

i just tied both a palomar and a double uni knot or whatever that knot for fluoro is called. i used 12lb test and pulled the **** out of both knots. neither broke. but its been said that the palomar isnt good for fluoro... what knot do yall tie for fluorocarbon??

IMA SPOOL IT UP WITH 14LB FLUOROCARBON AND USE IT FOR MY 6XDS 10XDS AND OTHER DEEP DIVERS! ANYWAYS CAUGHT THIS BABY IN A HALF FROZEN POND ON A KVD 1.5 BPS 7'6 CRANKING STICK AND JOHNNY MORRIS SIGNATURE SERIES REEL. HOW MUCH YALL THINK IT WEIGHS? IM SAYING 4-4.5LBS.
