Did you think that big bucket mouth was your 4lb smallie? I caught one that went 2 1/4 Tuesday throwing a kvd 1.5 in natural bream. Had a giant show herself on it and I'm going back to find her tomorrow, I'm not sure is she'll get over 4 but she'll get close.

You should be in flipping heaven! Caught them this evening skipping a wacky senko under over hanging limbs. I never would have thought skipping would be so addicting.

Interesting question. I'm not sure if a leader would give you enough stretch for a good hook set are not. Honestly I'd probably leave a rod with fluorocarbon still on it. If you don't like dealing with flouro you could try a copolymer.

7ft medium heavy fast BPS rod. A quantum kvd team reel in 7.1:1. I carry a small molle bag that has a single strap. It was a gift and totally looks like a man purse. But it's small and doesn't get in the way. I can keep 8 bags of plastics, scissors, pliers, line for leaders, phone, keys, and wallets in it. With a good assortment of jigs, hooks and weights. I'll usually carry 2 packs of baby rage craws, 2 packs of menace grubs, 1 pack of rage craws, and 2 packs of reaction innovation smallie beaver. Seems like a lot but it carries really well. Wading is the main way I fish.

Caught my first SM of the year today! Probably a pound and a half. It was my first ever sight fish and it was the first fish I caught on a jig I tied myself. 3/8 oz. arkie in a brown craw w/ a SK Baby rage crawl in Alabama Craw on the back. Pretty special fish even if it wasn't very big.

And Maine just got a bunch of publicity from Major League Fishing...smh

You're the man. So here's some food for thought. Just making conversation, and I was wondering this myself. So I just realized that this year elite wins are not an automatic qualify for the classic. Palaniuk is in 51st in AOY. Does he not try to hit a home run and play for the points instead? And this could go for a lot of guys in those 40 to 80 slots. My thoughts are he's a good pick up north either way.
