  1. Nothing wrong with that, I just wanted to make sure you didn't have like a 5.4:1 or something. When you get a second rod and reel you might consider a 7.1:1 or something in that ballpark.
  2. They call it a burner for a reason! It really is designed to move fast through the water. What's the gear ratio on your reel?
  3. The only information that travels faster than that of a good fishing hole is information on a spot you're killing ducks. I've seen people ruin places. I tend to make my decisions on sharing my secrets basked on how much pressure a particular place could handle and how hard it is to find. I do have a problem with people who won't do their homework and put in the time to find great places to catch fish and kill ducks.
  4. hey! My names JP I'm in Northwest Arkansas. I've been fishing all my life but I'm just looking to become a more well rounded fisherman! There's always room for improvement!
  5. There's a good thread on spinnerbait trailers! Check it out, I just learned something there!
  6. Possibly, it's just another option. To me if I'm getting a lot of fish that will follow and won't commit it usually turns out to be a color situation.
  7. Did you try adding a trailer?
  8. Very nice. Are you going to do that in 2 or 3 days? Deeper water on that end.
  9. Awesome thread. I'm on the same quest. It will be 10 years this summer since I broke 4lbs mark on small mouth in an Arkansas creek. People in other parts of the country don't understand why we get pumped up about catching a 3 pound Smb in a creek around here. Good Luck!
  10. I tried to get a solid mix of river rats and Cali Boys. My biggest problem was deciding which California boys to pick. A. Skeet Reese B. Hackney C. Byron Valvick D. Stephen Browning E. Jared Lintner Hackney and Browning have a great history here for being southern anglers. But both have blown leads in the delta. Skeet said the place where Hack found them last time is probably dry, so we'll see if he can find the winning fish. Wish I'd of picked Lucus, Rook, or Ish. Lucus grew up on the delta, it's just really hard to pick Reese.
