  1. Recently inherited 4 Abu Garcia Ambassadeaur's from my grandpa. These things are seriously aged and used, and the crazy thing is, they all still work. 2 of the 3 of the 4 are from when Abu was just Abu. I cannot tell however what year these are from. Is there any way to tell, thanks!
  2. Contrary to what every single other person on this list is saying. I have a GL2, (never have tried a white ice), and I absolutely love it for spinnerbaits.
  3. Shimano Calcutta 200gtb with a G Loomis Gl2 spinnerbait rod, not my PB but a few very close to it.
  4. I have a Shimano Calcutta 200GTB(6.0.1 ratio) and I absolutely love it. Casts a mile, retrieve is extremely smooth, and overall it's just a great reel. Retails for about $230.
  5. It's the only the 2nd rod I've ever snapped, the first was a cheapo Cabelas rod. This one broke for whatever reason. Probably just a faulty rod, I've had good luck with all of my Abu rods so far but for whatever reason this one broke right at the tip.
  6. I always stick to the classic 3/8oz lunker lures with a trailer hook, nothing better!
  7. After snapping yet another rod this weekend on a hook-set, I'm looking for something to replace my Abu Garcia Veritas 2.0. I want something for plastics, just not too sure what I want yet. Looking mainly at St Croix, Dobyns, Duckett, or Loomis. However I'm not trying to spend over $225. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  8. I have a little underspin that I sometimes use to for crappie/panfishing, but other than that, never.
  9. I mean when I have a fish on it can take as much drag as it wants, and is nearly impossible to reel in. If it's an easy fix please let me know!
  10. Butler County fishing lake in the corners of the dams, along weed lines, and in the deeper part of the creek area.
  11. My go to is either a white 3/8oz Booyah spinnerbait or a 4" green pumpkin berkley power worm.
  12. I love fishing with plastic worms and crawdads, but I have really only tried Texas Rigs because basically that was all I have been taught. Mostly, I use a 4" berkley power worm with a 1/4 oz bullet weight. I was wondering if any of you fine fisherman have had any success on any other rigs.
  13. I've been going to Butler fairly often lately and that lake is unfortunately getting over run with crappie. Literally you can catch them about every cast, but they aren't even worth cleaning they are so small.
  14. Been catching tons of bass on a 4" berkley power worm, about 60 bass in the past 2 days.
  15. After my Daiwa T3 Ballistic's drag broke after my first outing with it I'm looking for a replacement. I'm trying to decide whether I want a Shimano Curado I, Lew's BB-1, or an Abu Garcia Revo SX. I'm not completely set on getting one of those 3 so please bring up any other suggestions. I plan to use it for Jig'n'Worm. My price limit would be around 200ish.
