Not yet, but almost did a couple weekends ago. Went to take a fish off and 'set' my rod down behind me, had the bait and was readjusting it. after I finished I turned around to notice that I 'set' my rod over the side of the boat in the water, luckily it was closed so I just had to pull it out.

Does your state DNR offer any stocking programs? Some are free depending on the size of the pond.

Please post a pic of it so I can run out and invest a few thousand dollars to steal your idea so I can make a few copy cat molds like everyone here is waiting to do. Serious though, glad you got it done, post some pics.

I guess so! haha He seemed nice enough, just never had someone buzz up on us while we were fishing and "pitch me" and then buzz away. All in all, it was nice to get back out on the lake, I have a lot of learn on it.

I will go in and get them. I will go up to docks too, if you haven't caught a dock you haven't been fishing.

Spent a few days this weekend on Silver and did pretty good. I thought the boat traffic was on the light side of what I was expecting it to be given the holiday weekend. Caught plenty of largemouths and rock, but only 1 smallie. Did manage to take some Pike home for dinner with our biggest being about 33" right in front of the YMCA. Tastey. Got approached by an older gent and his wife while chatting with a dock fisherman on the north-end (he lives on the north end as well) that said he makes his own spinner bates that are guaranteed to out fish any other spinner bait I could find. The guy on the dock said he was "Mr. Silver Lake" and is in all the papers for the fishing tourneys. Anyone ever run into him? Use his spinner?

Harbor Freight if you have one near you. You can't get one cheaper; plus they usually will have a coupon for a free one with a purchase of anything else that rotates in their ads. I have three of them placed around and they work just fine.
