Shock-Rods Clearance @ Wally World
I went through some hard econonic times last year and had to sell off all of my expensive rods. After i sold of all my rods i was in walmart and they had the shocks at $9. I bought five of them and was able to fish the whole season. I thought my fishing was done for the year. Now im building my arsenal again but the shocks will have their place in my arsenal. They did great all season

Spro BBZ1 Rat -vs- Whopper Plopper
My favorite color is loon. The. All black one. Fish it on top of weeds, next to reeds and along weedlines. It will get bit. Ive had luck on the rat close to shallow rocky banks.

Spro BBZ1 Rat -vs- Whopper Plopper
I have fished both a lot. The rat works, catches above average size fish. But the whopper hands down catches more fish. I say whopper

leader knot.
Read carefully guys, im 99% sure the problem here is the line. Dont trust anything from spyderwire that says ez on the box. I learned from using the ez braid

Shock-Rods Clearance @ Wally World
1. Buy the 7ft medium spinning rod 2. Cut 3 inches off the tip 3. Install new tip Now you have a 6'9 medium fast and not medium moderate. Been doing this for years

Livetarget swimbaits
I fish these a lot. On mine the tail thumps even at the lowest speeds great baits and at a great price. Some people might have gotten some bad ones. Every other livetarget lure i hate. Specially that topwater sunfish thing

2015 Metanium vs 2016 Steez
Shimano obviously

Brand Loyalty?
Im also trying to find that one company i can stick with for rods and reels. I used to be all abu garcia but a couple reel failures put me off. Lately ive been fishing shimano rods and reels and really like them. I just wish they made xh swimbait rod

Witch st croix for frogs
All my rods are the same company now. Just helps me cover all bases better. I used to have different company rods but some Mh rods were lighter in power than some medium rods etc.

Trying different knots
Uni for flouro or mono Polamar for braid Double uni to join them
-
braid or possibly albright knot issues
Ease up on the drag. Problem solved. Or bump up to 15 or 20lb braid

All colors of the rianbow
For me, i start by throwing natural colors. If they dont bite i throw neon colors. If they dont bite than they dont want that bait. But i carry more natural colors

Heavy spining rod?
Thanks man^^^

Heavy spining rod?
Do any of the big brands(abu garcia, shimano, diawa etc...) sell a heavier spinning rod close to the 1oz mark? I need a 7ft heavy or medium heavy rod for skipping frogs and baits. Would really like a stiffer rod

What is a good Combo to get started on
Abu pro max is not a bad start

Possible rod switch
I started using abu garcias when i started fishing. Then i "upgraded" to shimano rods and reels. And while they are great roda and reels i feel like i miss my abus. I miss a great rod at a great price. I regret selling off all my abu garcias. Now as my rods break or as i sell rods their replacements are gonna be abus. I guess its just personal preference and what you feel more comfortable and confident with. Id say stick with falcon. Ive had some falcons and they were great rods

Mono for frog
I understand what you are saying but in this circumstance i have to leave my bait in a strike zone for a little longer than i could a buzzbait, and a walking or poping bait wont work because the weeds are all the way up to the surface. Therefore the best bait would be a frog.

Mono for frog
Hey guys, ive always frogged with braid but for a couple weeks i will be fishing with a very limited amount of rods because i sold off my reels and bought new ones. I have a reel spooled up with 15lb big game. Would this line be enough for frogging? Not into real heavy cover. Just over regular weeds. Or should i bump up to 20
