When it comes to totall versatility only one thing comes to mind...1/2 ounce green pumpkin jig,shallow,deep,heavy cover,rocky dropoffs, there is not much a jig can't do. It's also a great tournament bait because it It WILL produce big fish. good luck.

I've had bass choke jigs and Texas Riggs, but they must have been real aggressive to be taking a spinnerbait that far back. Just curious how fast were you working it?

You will get bites, but just curious as to why you wouldnt us a spook or popper.....I mean the only reason you use a frog is because its weedless, your going to be giving up action and hook up ratios for no reason. Just my opinion.

Small mouth are known to use their head to dismember prey, it hasnt happen to me, and even if it did that wouldnt stop me from using a bait that was producing fish.

I thought is was Just a small fish bait but On the first cast before it hit the bottom I caught a three pounder, a couple casts later I hooked into a 7 pounder...fun fight on ten pound test.NOTHING bad.

Yeah, a rubber net is not only easy on the fish, its easier to get a crankbait out of it....good luck

For all flourocarbon I use an improved clinch knot....has NEVER failed me.
