Cranking rod help
My advise would be moderate medium unless you're planning on cranking deep

Copolymer
I use copolymer for all my crankbait fishing. It works very well for me in all applications, shallow, rocks, deep, etc.

Jig Fishing With Copolymer?
I have been wondering this myself lately. I use copolymer for cranks. What is sensitivity like with copolymers for bottom contact baits?

White braid?
I've used strength braid in white. I liked that its white but its not the best braid

Loomis GL2 804C JWR - $129
Jigs (usually up to 1\2oz) and weighted 10" worms I fish deeper. I find it balances really well with my lews tournament mg and the grip is most comfortable with a rounder low profile reel like that, at least to me. Makes holding the rod still and those subtle shakes and hops more comfortable.

Loomis GL2 804C JWR - $129
I have that rod in 3 power and paid that sa!e price. I am happy with my decision so far. Rod is pretty nice and the grip is phenomenal

Dicks Sporting Goods Tackle Sale Countdown
I just went to a larger store in my area and got a Field and Stream Tec Spec Arsenal rod for $70. These things are great. I already have 2 and love them. They were originally $129. Love the Fuji SK2 reel seats and K alconite guides. Got some Livingston 10ft cranks for $9 and lipless crank for $5!

Dicks Sporting Goods Tackle Sale Countdown
Was that at the register? This is chain wide so it should ring 25% extra. There are excluded departments though. Guns, optics, camping, and golf equipment are not additional off clearance. All fishing is extra off .97 endings. The whole store is 75% off .93 endings but those are used for clothes /shoes not tackle.

Opinions for Crankbait rod
I like my duckett ghost cranking rod a lot. Very lightweight. Definitely made a difference in my ability to keep fish hooked no problems there. For the depth you are looking to fish and shallower, I think the light power and action from that rod is ideal. Deeper than that and you might want to go with something heavier.

I cleaned mine out of skip gap hooks too! I love those things.

Copolymer Fishing Line?
I love pline floroclear as well. Use it for cranking and trigs and soft plastics. Castability is great, sensitivity is good, line memory is not an issue especially with line conditioner. Never had a problem with it.

Quantum Accurist PT?
Just curious then, how the two differ? Other than store specific branding that is. Thee are only two quantum reels that aren't PT series, whatever that may mean.
-
Quantum Accurist PT?
It appears as though the accurist has fewer bearings than the escalade, but the rest of the specs are identical. Clearly the frame is the same and the paintjob is even almost the same. I could be wrong because obviously there is at least a price difference but I figured that seemed like maybe a marketing deal with DSG that Quantum makes Escalades for specifically because they would do large volume of this reel at that price.

whats the best baitcaster under $100?
I use a pflueger supreme $99 as one of my backups. It seems very nice for the price. Good drag and casts a variety of weights very easily.
-
Quantum Accurist PT?
I have a quantum escalade which is basically an accurist. Its OK. I very much like the size and ergonomics as well as the dual braking system. Casts well. Frame is plastic feeling. The retrieve developed some wiggle and the gears feel like they are made out of less durable metal. For the price thought I think its an OK reel. Tatula is probably a better buy but ergonomics are very important and I find the tatula frame much to large (wide) for me to fish with comfortably.

Favorite Worm For Neko Rig ?
I am glad to see these suggestions. I meant to try the neko rig this past summer but completely forgot. I am determined to try it come spring. Very interesting suggestion on the fluke. I will definitely give that a try. I don't think a zman or other elaztech would work without using a broken off shakey head or tube hook because I can't see a nail weight going into a n elaztech bait like that.
- G Loomis GL2 or something else

I Think I Won
A lot of times the store misses marking the rods/reels for clearance. They will still ring clearance but a customer wouldn't know. If there is a one off or unusual rod/reel in the store, ask a worker to scan it for you or take it to the register. This time of year there is a good chance if its not a style the store has in 6+ of, its probably clearance. Except St Croix other than the old Mojo Bass (which are ALL clearance)

I Think I Won
That will ring 25 % off as well.

Dicks Sporting Goods Tackle Sale Countdown
Inside source let me know it will stay 25% off and not go to 50% off this year. Lots of good stuff to be had though. I paid $11 for some nanofil just to give it a try next year. Last year I paid 75$ for a pflueger patriarch.

Gary Yamamoto hard baits?
Ime their hardbaits are no good. I've tried the cranks and top waters with no luck at all. I did end up burying a treble in my thumb though. The midasu lipless cranks look good but now I'm too afraid to buy one. I just bought one of the newer spinnerbaits but probably just because it looked cool. They can't keep them in stock at my local DSG so maybe that's a good sign....

Did i make the right choice with the Veritas 2.0 7ft Medium action ?
Veritas rods feel heavier than what they are rated so it sounds like you got just what you wanted.

Setup for Revo S and SX?
Reels go on rods. What are you trying to use the rods you would attach the reels to for?

Field & stream tec spec black
The black rods are good for the price. The elte version the blue ones are very good rods as well. The latest version, the arsenal, is an amazing rod. I have three and they are just very well made, very very light, and extremely ergonomic.
