Field and Stream Tec Spec Elite Spinning rod
Love those rods. Ive tried the tec spec line from the infernos up to the arsenals. The elite are amazing rods for the price. Light and very sturdy for the price. SIC guide inserts, and good grips. I like the arsenals better but DSG stopped making them a while ago and they were more expensive anyways. Overall awesome rods as long as you can deal with blue rods.

Best Value Composite Crank Bait Rod ?
I like my Powell Inferno for this application. Right at the price point too.

Favorite prespawn drop shot baits?
Another vote for 4" Roboworm. I like anything in blue or red but I find the color doesnt usually matter at that point. Ive caught some good fish on them but really a great time/presentation for numbers.

Daiwa J-Braid
I have been keen on using just about any braid that is readily available and some of those that are not just for S and Gs. I bought some at DSG when they started carrying it this year. So far I have been a huge fan of Daiwa's J-Braid. Been using 10lb chartruese on my spinning reels (with a leader) for finesse stuff on my spinning gear and 40lb green on my jig/worm/swim jig etc rods and have been thoroughly impressed. At first I was worried because colors bled LIKE CRAZY, but found that the line color didnt actually change. I know I've seen a bad review or two on youtube but I REALLY like this line. Anyone else had trouble in the long term? Seems super smooth to me, as most 8 carrier braids are. Very quiet through guides and no issues with fraying/breakage so far. Anyone else seen different results, or is this the braid to recommend at this price point?

New Tuf-Line Domin8 Braid ?
UI've tried it. It's very smooth. Pretty limp too. Kind of an off color, almost a sheen to it. Didn't care for it too much though. Tended to dig into itself a little more than I cared for. YMMV

Shimano Casitas
I read good things so I ordered one. It came today. Obviously havent had a chance to try it yet, but it feels pretty nice.

Rod dilima
The two are very different. You're just gonna have to talk it over in your head, decide on one that seems a more pressing need at this time. And then end up convincing yourself to buy the other one later.

Got my new reel!
What rod is it on?

rigging magnum sized worms
try a 1/4 oz gamakatsu skip gap shakey head. Larger size and easy to rig 4/0 ( believe) hooks. Stays put because of the skip gap bend.
- new berkely hard baits

Zoom Super Speed Craw......Review
I've been a big fan of gambler burner craws lately. Really good colors and incredible scent. Otherwise look very similar to Zooms.

Armored craw rigging
I use 3/0 ewg. I use them on jika rigs and have been pretty successful lately. You're right that its right between the size of hooks. I just rig carefully and hope for the best

Duckett Ghost inserts (?) grooving
I have it warrantied through the store I bought it from. Im going to swap it for either a new one or a Veritas Winch . I know its not top of the line, but for $100 and the quality of the rest of the rod, plus the fact that I wasn't even using braid....

New Tuf Line Braids?
They are 4 and 8 carrier braids. The 4orce is somewhat like their XP just doesn't seem to be woven as tightly and looks like it absorbs water very easily. I've been using the domin8 for a month or so now and I'm very impressed. Very tight , strong, and really smooth

Great find at Walmart and some info for you
I always find good deals in Walmart bins when I'm on vacation or traveling. Fishing buying is very seasonal/regionally specific on what sells, what is hot, etc. In my area the Walmarts suck anyways but a lot of the anglers are using some of the same stuff so there isnt great clearance stuff in the first place and what does get marked gets bought. But Ive been in walmarts across the county and just 4 hours north and the anglers are used to different stuff so I cleared out certain styles of baits that buyers there didnt want.

Sufix Performance Braid
One of my favorite braids at a decent price. Pretty tightly woven and fairly quiet.

Duckett Ghost inserts (?) grooving
Ok I've got a picture of the grooving. The glare and the fact that this is a macro on a phone doesn't do it justice, its worse than it looks in the picture but you get the idea.

Duckett Ghost inserts (?) grooving
I will take pictures in a few days. From what I understand these are chrome which is not very hard. The only thing i can think of is that i use this to really grind the crap out of the bottom I'm ripping through grass frequently too so a lot of pressure is put on that last guide. For this rod I have it warrantied through DSG so I'm just gonna trade it in for a veritas winch which SiC guides. I may switch the other one over to mono to keep it from grooving as soon.
