Shallow water anchors under low bridge
Do power poles and Raptors have a way to tilt them down to get under low bridges? Or can you deploy them half way? Sometimes I go under bridges that are low enough that I have to take my seat pedestals down to get under. Will this no longer be possible with shallow water anchors?

Hotels near south end of Champlain
I’m looking for a hotel near the south end of Champlain that will allow running cords to plug in overnight. We usually stay at the Hampton Inn in Rutland Vermont and then drive to the South Bay ramp and launch. For some reason this time they are saying they can’t guarantee us power. He said there’s a 95% chance that it won’t be an issue but that doesn’t help us because once we get there if we don’t have power the trip is kind of useless. We need to park 3 trucks and 3 boats.

Minn kota Maxxum Tracker PT175
I am trying to figure out which motor to get. I am getting the 70 to avoid having to run new wires but I’m not sure what length to get. The one I have now is 45”. The maxxum only comes 42 or 52. The boat is a 2010 tracker Pro Team 175txw.

Fort Gibson Lake - Fall Fishing
Anyone have any advice on this place late October? I bought a map for it but I know nothing about it and can’t find much online.

Thompson Lake Maine
Thanks again. Fishing deep is definitely not my strength but I will try it out.

Thompson Lake Maine
Thanks guys. Mainely Bass. What depth points? I have fished most of the points in the lake. Not with dropshot though. I'll try it.

Thompson Lake Maine
Does anyone fish this lake? My parents bought a house on it last year. I do ok in the spring but last summer was terrible. This year so far is the same. I just spent the whole week there and maybe caught 10 bass. Anyone have any tips they would like to share?

Mercury prop selector
WRB, Thanks. Sounds like that is the trade off which I'm ok with.

Mercury prop selector
WRB, I'm not looking to go fast. Just to get the max speed out of it that I can and get the RPM down a little. I'm going to get a Laser II 20 pitch I think. I've found a few people online with same boat that say they get 42mph at 5500 RPM with this prop. This would be 2-4 MPH than I'm getting now. Usually I get 38 mph but have gotten up to 40 on occasion. I don't really want to get into modifications to the motor. Thanks everyone for the input.

Mercury prop selector
I'm going to look at the tach again when I take it out. If it is 6000 rpm then is that the number I should use on the prop selector? PECo, that's very nice of you to offer. Thank you. It is a little too far though.

Mercury prop selector
I just noticed that when I look up my motor which is an Optimax 75 and it says the rpm at full throttle is 5500–5750. One Sunday I looked at mine tachometer at full throttle and it said 6000. If I put in 6000 and my gauge is off a little, what would happen if I got the wrong prop?

What kind of boat is it?

Mercury prop selector
I want to order a stainless steel prop. I have a 2010 Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW with a 2011 75 HP Mercury Optimax. When I go to the the prop selector it gives me three different ones. Two are almost the same and have 3 blades. The other has four blades. The prop that came with it has four blades. What reason would I want four blades instead of three or vice versa? My goal is to make the boat as fast as possible. If I went with the three blade prop would I want the one that is slightly bigger and more pitch or the smaller one? I have attached a photo.

- Trying to fix spinning reel
What is DVT? I have already cleaned, reassembled, and greased everything. I had every part out.- Trying to fix spinning reel
I have a reel that I really like. Quantum Energy E130PTs-B. Last year it started randomly back reeling. It would happen when I had a fish on. I bought a new one and I like the old one better. I took the whole thing apart and cleaned every gear, bearing, etc. and put it back together and greard everything. It still does the exact same thing. None of the parts looked damaged. I have a whole diagram with all the parts and part numbers. I have no idea what part to buy. It doesn't seem like it's the switch. When it does it it usually does it for lees than a full turn. Any ideas?- St. Croix mojo bass
How did it end up breaking and where? it broke reeling in a fish about six feet from the boat about 18"-2' from the tip. They are sending me another one. They offered a $140.00 credit or a new rod. I was just curious if it was an issue because if it was I would take the credit. Definitely nothing against St. Croix. I have another St Croix that I love but it is a much more expensive one.- St. Croix mojo bass
I had a mojo bass rod break on the third time using it while reeling in a fish. I have never broken a rod under normal use. It was a 6' 4" heavy frog rod. Has anyone else had problems with these rods? I'm just trying to find out if I got a bad one or if it is an issue with the line. They are sending me another one. I would like to keep it because I liked it as a frog ride until it broke.- Losing fish on frog
e en with just the hooks that are on the frog I gut hung up sometimes. I will try them though. Thanks.- What kind of baitfish is this?
What kind of minnows?- What kind of baitfish is this?
- Losing fish on frog
- Losing fish on frog
I am wondering if it is normal to lose a lot of fish on frogs. I haven't done a study but I would guess that I lose about 50 % of the fish that I actually hook on a frog. Most of them within a few seconds. Up until now I have been using a 7'6" heavy rod with a 7. Something to 1 real with 50 lb power pro. I will be switching to a 7'4" St. Croix Mojo rod once it comes because my current rod broke. I always wait to set the hook about a second or two. I always assumed that it was normal to lose a lot of fish but lately watching videos it seems like it might not be as common as I think. I mostly use scum dog which is a scumfrog but a little bigger snd walks like a zara spook.
