How Do You Store Your Outboards: Stabil, Drain The Tank?
That's what I was thinking. The outboard oil doesn't say anything about it, but most of the weed eater/chainsaw oils do these days. I've never had a carburetor clog up on my watch, but I'm rather young too. I've cleaned many, many, in engines I've gotten used. I really think it is mainly is due to water/condensation, not fuel going bad in weeks time.

Charging Batteries In Parallel
Only parallel batteries if they are exactly the same and brand new. If not, they will have a death match. I'm not sure how many amps you need, but I'd be inclined to charge them at a moderate rate, then float charge them with 2 amps until you use them next. I second the AGM's or golf cart batteries, both are great ideas.

On Board Battery Charger
It depends if you have glass mat batteries or standard flooded cell deep cycles. They can utilize different float chargers.

How Do You Store Your Outboards: Stabil, Drain The Tank?
I use my current boat for winter hunting, so the outboard doesn't sit for more than a few months. I don't worry about STA-BIL unless I know an engine/gasoline is going to be sitting for months. So, my generator gas, my LAST lawnmower fill-up, and stuff like that when I know I won't be using the gasoline for months. Even then, if you have a 6 month old gas can worth, pour unmixed gas into your vehicle (or mixed gas into my lawn mower if possible) and re-fill it. I think some of the outboard oils already have stabilizers built-in. What will kill any carburetor is water in the gasoline. NEVER store a gas can outside in the rain. Also, they sell ethanol free recreational fuel where I live. I plan to use more of it in my outboard, but am a little concerned about water not being absorbed (lack of ethanol to absorb it). Any condensation/water contamination will separate to the bottom of the tank and get sucked into the pickup.

Saw The Greatest Motor Ever!
There is an actual boat motor that they made once upon a time (mid 90's I think). They must have not made them for long. My buddy has one that he said needed a new powerhead. Yes, I think many people have tried putting props on weedwackers. One of my friends did once when we were 16 or 17, but the prop was WAY too big for it to work.

New Video: Texas Rigging Tube Baits
I'll have to try that. I tossed a tube with a tube jug head inside of it, into some pads on Saturday and came up with a nice bass on the first cast. But it wasn't weedless and I got hung up pretty bad too.

What's A Great Rod And Reel For Bass Fishing?
He may enjoy a gift card/trip to the tackle shop and a day on the water with his wife more than giving him something random if you don't know what he wants. Knowing me, I'd probably shamelessly return it for something else. Let him pick out your attire and spend a day on the water with him, if you can stay out of his hair. For example, my wife LOVES running. I usually watch the kids, but she LOVES if I take the time to go running/racing with her.

New From Pittsburgh, Pa Area
My name is Nick and I've been fishing since I was 8 or so. My maternal grandfather and uncle were moderately interested in fishing. So my brother and I told our father that we wanted to go fishing. Even though he grew up with a small boat, he had no interest in fishing. He got us some Zebco 202 combos and bobbers and random stuff. He actually had a customer who was a fishing tackle middle-man, so I think he got us stuff twice from them. We only went fishing during summer RV trips. My first fish I caught at the RV pond was a bluegill that I caught, completely bored and ready to leave, on a black plastic spider jig. After a couple years, he got us some Shimano spinning combos and I got better and catching bluegill and small catfish... After a lot of reading as a child (and not understanding much of it), and not much use of a boat, I went to college in a town with a large river and learned the techniques for catching bass, walleye, catfish, carp, excreta. I've been out of school for 9 years now, I purchased a small rowboat and just got a trailer last year which helped tremendously. I've been ice fishing the last 2 years, and my 5 year old son and I have been on the boat a lot this spring. I can't say that I've ever been much into smallmouth and largemouth bass much, but the boat (in addition to being able to take my 5 year old) has totally changed my attitude about that.

Funniest Thing You Have Ever Seen In Person
When I was in college, my friends and I all went catfishing (camping and fishing for what else) whenever we could after work/weekends/nights. Most of us worked at the college dinning hall, so we usually didn't leave till later in the evening. One time, my girlfriend at the time, and a buddy went down to the river (fishing park under a hydro-electric dam). It must have been a hot day. We are 45 minutes or an hour into fishing, I think the fish were biting, and some heat lightning starts rolling in. The girlfriend is bored or frightened so she goes to the car. We look at each other and say "whatever" it isn't anywhere close yet. So by that point I'm seeing reflections in the water. The girlfriend is a the top of the hill, comes out of the car hysterically, screaming bloody murder, "Your going to die!!!!! Lets go!!!!", and so on. She does this twice, and we tell her everything is alright. I can't remember how long we stayed until we actually left. To this day we roll on the floor laughing every time we recall that story.
