What Do You Pack When You Bank Fish?
I've been robbed by a drunk while camping with a gun. At least it was funny to accuse him of it in the morning.

What's The Most Underrated Productive Bait?
I agree that it's the most underrated, but I think the grub is more productive.

What Do You Pack When You Bank Fish?
Nut jobs, especially if you are a female or have one with you. And vehicle theft. I've had issues with both. We used to do a lot of evening/night bank fishing while I was in college.

What Do You Pack When You Bank Fish?
For bank fishing, I always take a gasoline/Coleman fuel lantern.

Looking For A Bass Boat Project
Yeah, take your time. Nothing good happens until near the end of the statute of limitations. I suggest you drive around and just ask people. If it's in the weeds, it's probably not going to be listed on Craigslist.

Fluke Fishing?
I lost one the other day on an albino Super Fluke. I was using, I believe an 4/0 weighted EWG superline hook. But, I'm not sure if I like the thickness of the superline hook. I'm new to this and didn't set the hook well.

Teaching Update...
We had a recess tag football league, but I can't recall if it was 5th and 6th grades or 4th-6th grades, at a small Christian school. Congrats on the endeavour. I believe teaching primary school is a humble calling.

Who's Fishing The Super Moon?
I had to bring my 5 year old home, he has school tomorrow, and it's raining. Oh well. At least we went out earlier.

Glass Vs Graphite
I don't think a glass rod will take away from your distance. It might be bulkier and heavier, but it should load up appropriately with the correct weight lure.

Signs Of Fall
When I finally get tired of the heat and want to sit on the ice (ice fishing). I'm ready for whenever it freezes over...January sometime. Actually was ready a few weeks ago. I love summer and snow, but hate the in-between.

Super Blood Moon Solunar Eclipse= Sunday 9-27
It's cloudy and, now, raining here.

It Never Ends.
I don't really feel sorry for you. You know better. Reminds me, I had a teacher in high school hit a tree with a farm tractor. I think he went to get firewood for a camp and didn't come back for hours. He actually made it back almost dead...I'm not exactly sure how he got the tractor upright and back on it. Possibly it only bucked him off. Be careful dude!

How To Get Stabbed
Congrats! I think I played on the Internet more than half the time I was with my wife, for both of our boys.

What Rod Would You Pair With The Pflueger 6940 Reel?
I just picked up a Field & Stream Tec Spec Black rod this week. Very nice features for $60...and I'm cheep. I've been eyeing up the Shakespeare Agility rods that Field and Stream has for $30, but they have fewer/cheaper guides.

Lilly Pads And Boats?
Thank you, Roger. Your answers affirm that I'm not crazy.

Lilly Pads And Boats?
After reading the reviews for the BPS and Academy for the store brand ones, it looks like they aren't worth buying. I'll just have to make one before hunting season. I'll probably keep to that design though.

Lilly Pads And Boats?
That's an interesting product. I'm not sure why you would make a blade out of aluminum though.

Reel With Big Spool
Just being smart...I have a Penn 209 and a Penn 350 sitting on the shelf at home. Both are fun to use, but I don't think you can cast a frog on them. They do do qualify as having a "big spool" though . I think they need almost 1 1/2 oz to cast any distance...probably slow ratios too. Unfortunately, you can't hear sarcasm over the Internet.

Spincast Reel
My 5 year old is using a spinning reel already. We already gave up on a Shakespeare UL combo. I suggest that if your daughter can figure out how to open and close the bail and put the line under he finger, that you try that. Also, make sure the cover is tight. Usually the cover holds the guts in. If it's a little loose, the one I have does weird things. I don't remember my Zebco 202, when I was a child, being so finicky. The spinning reel he was using was a Abu Garcia Cardinal STX10.

Guaranteed Start For Outboard Motor
If you have to crank more than a couple times, your carb wasn't full of fuel and you are relying on the choke to pull the fuel into the carb. Plain and simple. Now I'm wondering if some outboards have electric pumps in the tank, so you don't need to prime?

Lilly Pads And Boats?
Thanks for the comments. Yes, with two hands if I'm careful and remember where the latch is. Unlock on the left, lift the motor with the left hand and unlatch with the right if I raise it all the way out. I've thought about keeping on plane, but I can't tell if there are any shallow ledges. I'm running a 35 year old Chrysler (same as the 90's Forces that Mercury eventually bought out) right now and it doesn't have a water indicator. You literally need to reach around or look around to check the upper exhaust ports. If they are dry, then you are clogged. I've only clogged it in mud with a bad impeller once; I switched to a spare lower end. I need to pick up a spare impeller if I continue running this engine...part supplies are drying up. Do you have any specific foot on your pole? I was thinking of building a hinge, but I know they sell them. I do basic steel fabrication at home.

Buying My First Fiberglass Bass Boat Tomorrow
Every boat rebuild I've seen my friends do has been given up on.

Inexpensive Ned Rig/pan Fish Rod/reel?
I've been using the Shakespeare micro series for years and like it. I have the 7ft light 2 piece rod. It's an el-cheapo rod, but works well. I broke the tip off my first one, can't remember how. I've been buying $50-60 reels though. I had used an Abu Garcia Cardinal 101 on it that lasted years until the bail fell apart. I'm not sure how good the current Cardinal S or SX are. I have the STX10 (for the aforementioned rod) and STX5 (for ice fishing so far) and like them. I did have to put loctite on the handle screw though. I just purchased a President, but that's over $50.
