When checking out the outboard remove the cover and check for signs of overheated heads if they look brown, copper dark the engine was overheated. to check the seals in the lower unit back the oil screw and check the oil if its milky white seals are bad. make sure you ask if it was ever ran in salt water. if so ask if they rinsed it out after each use. ask them to take it out on the water for you if they give you excuses pass asap.

^ good call on the grease and rubber bad reaction. My buddy builds rc planes and heils and he greased some plastic parts and they started smoking. I will use dish soap.

I'm mean my boat sits for 8 months and when I start it up after sitting for so long the impeller is dry for idk how many seconds it takes for it to start circulating water it might be almost instantly idk. Im about to start pulling the lower end and will grease the impeller.

after countless YouTube videos and manual reads I'm ready to change my water impeller. The only question I have is some people but a dab of grease on the impeller. They save it saves the impeller from running dry the first time you run it. I don't think its necessary but let me hear what you guy have to say.

How easy is it for you guys to reach around and get your rods gear,etc from the back of your kayak Im able to reach my hand back with out turning my body or head. but lets say my pliers fall to the bottom of my crate when I need to side saddle my kayak and get it easily.

Best advice I can give you is try the kayak for comfort before you buy it. My friend bought a kayak and had to sell it after a couple of outings because it was uncomfortable. I can comfortably fish on my kayak for more than six hours before taking a break to eat, use the bathroom and go back at it again. One thing I wish i could change on my kayak is that I have to side saddle it to reach the back of my gear box.

I have yet to lose a rapala to a pike *knocks on wood* I always catch them on the outside of the mouth.

If I was fishing in a pike tourney last week I would have easily won it. While fishing a bass tournament last month I landed five pike and one bass. how often do you guys catch pike while tournament fishing. I love all fish but man I was getting pretty salty after the third one.

As I was spooling up my reels for a upcoming tournament I started to notice kinks and dings in the line I stopped half way and returned it to gander mt. guy working behind the counter said quality control has been slacking on this particular brand. I've had good look with Berkeley, hopefully this was just a bad batch.

Nose hook. when the bait is getting torn up at the nose I switch to wacky. that gets me a fish almost every time
