  1. Well, ran to Dicks Sporting Goods on the way to get my wife since I saw they had some sales on frogs and picked up a *** Combat Frog in the Cane pattern, a Booyah Poppin Pad Crasher in Bull Frog for more open water and weeds, and Jawbone tackle company smaller sized frog in lighter colors that my daughter picked out.
  2. Anyone seen lilly pads anywhere around ? Would like to get some caught on frogs. Got skunked yesterday and threw all kinds of stuff.
  3. Lordy I need to get me some of that frog bite. Knew I should have bought those scum frogs at the store.
  4. Or use a few quick cranks.
  5. Sounds interesting. I bank fish and a bait like this could hold a spot in my box for fishing tight to the bank in snaggy areas. What size craw and hook did you use?
  6. Sounds like it could make for a good frog, popper, topwater bite.
  7. Most recently it was a Gander Mountain Vortex Medium Heavy casting rod $19.99 on sale, Abu Garcia Black Max 2 baitcaster $23.99 used in Cabelas Bargain cave. That was early Fathers Day present. Also a Big Bite Baits 5" Finesse Double Tail Grub in Black Neon for 28 cents. Academy hooked me up! Havoc Hawk Hawg 5" in Watermelon Red, Zoom Trick Worm in Sherbet, Yum F2 Ferocity Lil Suzie 4.75" Smoke Red Pepper. Everything was either on sale or clearance. That monkey is still on my back though, I NEED some new senkos LOL!
  8. Did ok at Emery park today. Senko worms on the milfoil edges were working.
  9. Would love to fish it from a boat right now, it was way up the other day. Since the lake has flatheads the bass population may not be very good.
  10. Did good today with some luck e strike ribbed senko type worms that were 4 inches and watermelon and green pumpkin. Rigged texas style weightless. Fishing milfoil edges in about 4 feet of water. From the bank of course.
  11. Thanks for the welcomes. Hopefully getting ready to head out tonight or early in the morning. Thinking Butler county.
  12. A lot more this year than in the last few since I just got heavily into bass fishing. 2 new rods and reels, a bunch of soft plastics, jigs, and spinnerbaits just in the past month or so with more stuff planned and probably goin shopping tomorrow. Can't get that monkey off my back.
  13. Hello all, lifelong fisherman from Kansas here. Used to mainly chase catfish and crappie but needed a new challenge/ reason to buy more tackle and hopefully soon a kayak. Not having a whole lot of luck yet but the urban lakes and ponds are extremely overfished so planning some trips to some state fishing lakes and back home to Cross Timbers, Woodson, Fall River, and Eureka. Right now Mcpherson, Butler are at the top of my list as they are closer. Been fishing lots of creature baits, some jigs, small crankbaits, and small spinnerbaits. Hard to put something new in front of fish that have seen it all, thinking about some bigger swimbaits, I dunno.
