Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
I packed it in for the year. I'm going to get all my gear cleaned and organized soon. I need to figure out what I need to buy more of for next year! And I need to send two reels off for service.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
There are no active Ohio anglers on here, so you're getting my report in this thread. Picked up a healthy 2.5 lb'er on a black/blue chatter bait yesterday. Caught a smaller one as well, probably only a pound or so. Water temps were 56. Here's a pic of the bigger bass. Also! I picked up some weird lowrance activity. Are those bait fish in the second pic? I tried fishing the area, but got no bites. Thoughts appreciated.

Are we thinking blueberry has a fishable LMB population?

All the fishing I do is south of Boston. I recommend looking through the NH thread. It seems like there's some decent water in southern NH. You also might want to consider renting a boat out on the Quabbin. The fall fishing there is about to get really good once it cools off.

Second fish of the day was a huge pickerel that mangled my spinner bait and tore up my hand.

Bagged a couple 3's, a 4, and a 5 yesterday. I don't remember which one this was. I don't think it was the 5.

Finally bought a scale
Caught a 5 LB'er today and I swore it was over 6 when I first hauled it out of the water.

@Janderson45 - is the new boat going to be Quabbin only?

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Caught about 20 LMB today, but nothing of any size. I lost the largest of the bunch. It leaped and threw my chatterbait back at me. Water temps around 82 down near the Cape. The water level looked to be down a couple feet.

Nice one! It's been so hot, I haven't been motivated to go out.

tackle shops in the boston area that do reel servicing/repair?
Jeff, I send my gear out to DVT. I do go to Arlington Bait and Tackle for last minute senko buying. I like to throw him business. Nice guy, but he doesn't service reels.

What to do in this heatwave...
I was going to take the kayak out early today. The alarm went off at 5 AM and I turned over, turned it off, and went back to sleep.

How's Your Pre-Season Plan Working Out?
Great. Caught a new PB. Learning the baitcaster. Catching fish with new methods too. Like spinnerbaits, jigs, and chatterbaits. So far so good.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
At the private pond I've been fishing, I landed one LMB over 4 lbs today, another that was around 3 lbs, and a dozen smaller ones. I won't be able to fish for the next week or so. Keep the reports coming.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
New PB: 5.8 lbs. Caught on a wacky rigged Senko. Also caught a 4.6 lb'er on a @Siebert Outdoors black/blue chatterbait earlier in the day.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Here we go. My new PB weighed in 5.8 lbs: fat fat fat fish. Then we have the 4.5 lb'er that was long, but skinny. It looked like a pretty beaten up older fish. If it was as fat as the first one, I would've had a 6+ lb bass. What a great day of fishing. The bar is thus set very high for the summer! And these were the kind of acrobatics I was treated to all day.
