  1. Yup this is the bluegill flash color. The picture on the website isn't the greatest I looked and looked for a better picture on the internet and couldn't really find one so I completely guessed on the color luckily for me it was exactly what I wanted!
  2. Received my first purchase from siebert outdoors! Cant beat the price in my opinion for the quality components that he uses. I specifically bought the bluegill flash swim jig in hopes it would be a great crappie pattern and I was not disappointed! Also not in the picture that I purchased was a cavitron buzzbait to also try and stocked up on some terminal tackle I needed
  3. I have fished the run a few times and always had a good time. It can get real crazy up there especially if your not paying attention on the drifts. It's pretty easy to get tangled up with the anglers around you. Be prepared for lots of hang ups too. It's always a good idea to have plenty of weights and grubs with you along with a spare spool of line. And what ever you do don't keep a snagged eye even if you don't think anyone will notice it. There are dnr everywhere watching like a hawk it's just not worth it
  4. Wasn't bass fishing in this pic but every now and then I like to get out and relax tightlining for some cats
  5. The advantages I see are the weight differences. From what I keep reading they rig them weightless or with as little weight as possible and burn them over vegetation. And if you rig them with the traditional way (on a jig head or a swimbait hook) then you don't need to go out and buy a specialized rod to throw 3 oz plus swimbaits.
  6. 6 years in the army 2006-2012. One tour in Iraq in 2009-2010
  7. I just looked these up because I didn't even know falcon came out with a new rod and on twh website they have the spinning rods listed as made in the USA but they don't mention it on the casting rods.
  8. Ha that's funny you said that I just picked up quite a few packs of different rage baits today
  9. I been wanting this reel for awhile! I'm jumping on this deal thankyou!
  10. Best show on tv! I have just about every season on DVD now.
  11. I'm a big fan of 2-5 inch paddle tail swimbaits. There isn't a whole lot that they can't do. You can strait retrieve them fast slow on the bottom or on top and every where in between through all types of cover. Also can be used on a drop shot and as trailers for multiple styles of baits such as spinnerbaits buzzbaits and jigs.
  12. Black jitterbug and a close second would be the rebel pop r!
  13. That's a heck of a list there! One thing I do every few months is go to goodwill or some thrift stores or even garage sales and check out the books. Seems I always find a few of them and there super cheap. A lot of them that I find are from the 60's or 70's and it amazes me just how far the sport has came. I have quite a collection building up of them.
  14. You guys talked me into it! I saw the blue craw laminate and had to have it. I'm a sucker for a good blue craw color also ordered a few of their other products to try out
  15. For trailers I use keitechs and the zoom swimming fluke but just a swimbait on a jig head I use big joshy swimbaits in all their sizes. It's a smaller company here in Ohio that is real popular. They have great action in all water temps and at all speeds.
  16. Wacky or weightless texas rig them kinda like a senko
  17. FFO has 25% off all rods right now. Just purchased another aetos for 67 dollars.
  18. I'm not familiar with fishmas. What exactly is it
  19. My choice for my waters is a swimbait on a jig head. 2-4 inches long. Works every part of the water column and can be fished as slow or fast as you like.
  20. Well said! For years I used the 35 size thinking the 30 was just to small but for the past 2 years I have switched over to the 30s and couldn't be happier. They handle the bigger fish just as same as the larger size and I have never once found a situation where I wish I more line capacity. The only time I would recommend the 35 is to balance a rod like the older st croix mojo bass rods a bit better
  21. I been fishing some rivers and creeks mainly for smallies recently with a lot of success and my top choices would be senkos, buzzbaits, inline spinners, and grubs. You really can't go wrong with those. I also carry some tubes and poppers with me
  22. That's a great fish man
  23. During winter months I'm always purchasing news lures with the intent to fish them. Every purchase I make I have ideas in my head on how and where I would be fishing them. But come spring a lot of those ideas never get taken into action. To many lures not enough time. It's a processe that never ends and I'm sure this winter I'll keep buying more baits with an intent to fish them. I use an old dresser in a spare bedroom half organized to keep a lot of the unopened lures. Every now and then I go through them and pick some to give away to family and friends that I know will never be used
  24. Rapala floating minnow and SK Kvd 1.0 and 1.5
  25. I haven't used them yet or anything all I have watched is the icast videos. Its mostly aesthetics and looks that I don't like versus the older model and I really am disappointed to see a mostly Eva handle instead of the cork/tac material they used in the older model. Im sure they will still fish great though
