  1. Hey Ya'll, Heading out on Saturday, MArch 4th with my 2 brothers. Any suggestions, tips, feedback, etc. Thanks in advance -Tight Lines
  2. I actually did this 2 weekends ago. Had a blast. I wound up catching a 6.2lber on my last cast. They only let you fish for 4 hours but for $32 you really cant beat it. Hoghly suggest it. Thank you!
  3. Hey ya'll, Looking to rent a bass boat with my 2 brothers on Saturday, MArch 4th. Checked with Roland MArtin Marina and their bass boats are booked up. We wanted to go to Chobee but now were thinking of opening up the options. ANyone have any good experiences renting bass boats at other lakes? Coming from Clearwater so looking at Orlando area maybe? 3 hours drive max! Thanks ya'll
  4. Thanks everyone. All great tips. I will try the morning this weekend and see what the differences are. I like the wet rag and shirt tips as well. I'm new to Florida so still haven't gotten used to the humidity (don't think I ever will), but I really appreciate the tips. Tight Lines
  5. Yea we've been trying to hit late night lately. I think were gonna go even later to get the dark bite. I guess we're all on the same page. Thanks ya'll
  6. Hey Ya'll, Out here in Central Florida, temperatures have been constantly brutally hot. Fishing has slowed down tremendously. Been out the last 3 nights and only managed 4 fish. 2 caught on a senko under a bridge and 2 caught on a frog, one being a nice 3.7lber. For a while we were going out and catching 10-20 a day between me and my brother. Any tip[s to try and find these fish in these hot temps. I know deep wanted and under shade but is there a specific bait that might work better than others? Preciate it.
  7. Hey Ya'll. Im heading down to Sanibel Island this weekend. Any freshwater spots nearby I can take the little brother and Pops to?
  8. Hey Ya'll, I'm heading down to the Sanibel Island area this weekend. Going to try some salt water fishing of course, but any good freshwater spots that aren't too far (max half hour drive)? Preferably a canal. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. -Eric
  9. hahah that definitely answers my questions. Going to pass this time around. Thanks Ya'll
  10. Awesome guys. Thank ya'll for the suggestions. Definitely will take it all into consideration.
  11. @ckelly I am really debating buying 1 of these. I mean worse case im out $40 bucks and if its a good reel and last long and catches fish, then what a steal!
  12. Anyone ever purchase a rod or reel from China? When going on Ebay to look for a new reel, there are a lot of options for what look like awesome reels, but they're from China. I have bought many other products, not necessarily fishing products, from China and all but a memory card came perfect and just how it was described. Any suggestions?
  13. I will be using it on a baitcaster. but for the most part, you stick with braid? I've heard so many mixed answers. Some people strictly use braid, some switch on and off depending on water clarity. Just trying to see if I should switch up what I'm doing.
  14. is this proven @blckshirt98? this is very interesting
  15. okay @GodfatherOfSeoul give the welcomes a rest. You're filling up the whole activity feed with your welcome to forums. We get it, youre happy people are here. PM them if you really need to wish them welcome.
  16. I haven't been fishing for very long but as long as I have been fishing., I've been using braid. I just have so much confidence in it and have done good. However, I want to rig up my new set up, when I get it, with a different type of line. Can you make any suggestions on what I should go with? I'm hoping mono or fluoro might end up catching me more fish due to visibility. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Am I going about this wrong? Should I stay with braid? Its a tough decision. I definitely want confidence when fishing and not to be nervous if I hook up with a hog.
  17. Awesome! thank you both. Yea that makes a lot of sense with the reviews.
  18. I've been seeing a lot of cheap BPS Baitcaster combos. They seem real nice and have good reviews. Any comments?
  19. Going to Middle Lake in Pasco County, Florida this weekend. Anyone ever been there? Any luck? Any Suggestions?
  20. What are the best websites to get cheap fishing stuff (lures, line, reels, rods, etc.)? I have looked around a lot but not sure how reputable some of these sites are. Rather ask ya'll to see which ones ya'll have used before. Thanks!
  21. Yea seems like its still a tough bite out there. Hey at least you managed to get 15lbs in and take 2nd. That's awesome. Congrats!
  22. Hey all, I want to get a little more into canal fishing. I don't have a boat so most of my bank access consists of regular ponds and golf courses that don't kick me off. I do a lot of video watching of people doing really well fishing canals. I live in Pinellas County. Can anyone suggest close canals to the Pinellas county area? Thank you in advance!
  23. Yes sir. Good luck out there. Definitely let me know! @hawgenvy Went to West Toho about a month ago. Same thing. Tough fishing. Only caught like 3 fish. My brother and I are trying to get a guide every year. We're thinking Toho again. Thanks for the heads up!
  24. @hawgenvy so a little recap of the trip. It started out decent. We caught 6 fish in the first hour. the biggest being a 3lber. Just p[itching and flipping in the grass on the south end of the lake. Then it started storming. The rain was golf ball size and needless to say, the fishing pretty much stopped. After the storm, we threw senkos and managed to get about 5 more dinks on the boat in the remaining 6 hours. It was a very slow trip. We spoke to a lot of other anglers on the lake and they were all saying the same thing. Artificials was a tough bite. We were supposed to go Sunday as well but we got stormed out. All in all it was great to be on the lake and an awesome trip. Hopefully next time the fishing is a bit better. Best of luck to you.
  25. Why do want to know this? @Tery Songz
