  1. I have a deeper castable unit that I could part with if your interested
  2. I own the vokley 69ml and although I love it for what I do with it. In terms of versatility I say go for the 68L. The casting sweet spot on the ml is around 1/4 ounce TOTAL weight. It has an extra fast taper which limits applications.
  3. I've got my eye on a 64l Jackson super trickster.
  4. Don't leave us in the dark. What did you order.
  5. Oh I'm in for this. You have my attention
  6. As much as I would like to support a sponsor the chrome avail would match the theme I'm going for much better. Any one know if I can put 2 bearings per knob with the avail handle and septum knobs?
  7. I was leaning toward the chrome avail 90 mm sweep. Seems like a good happy medium in length. I just need to get rid of this tiny handle on the ch50e that's driving me nuts.
  8. Lol yeah let's not get into that debate. Let's keep this about handle length.
  9. Let's talk handle lengths. What length do you prefer? I would like to get a longer handle for my ch50e but I'm on the fence about the length. I was thinking 90-95 mm. I want to go longer but don't want it to be too long and awkward. at the same time I don't want to go conservative and be disappointed with the length. Help me out people
  10. This has got my imagination going wild. I will be doing some experimenting with the idea myself. Thanks for sharing
  11. I have 2 lew's tournament Mbs. I absolutely love them both. I have the 6.8:1 and the 7.5:1. Awesome reel.
  12. I use suffix 832 20lb in high viz green. It sinks once the surface tenttion is broken. I've trough a light Texas rig into my pool to test it. It sinks. Not like fluoro but it does sink. It doesn't hinder the action as far as I could tell. I will continue to use it.
  13. I would look hard at a lews tournament mb. I have 2 and love them both. I use 1 exclusively for frogging. Hell of a reel for what I paid for it. Great drag. Clicking drag star and cast control knob. Good magnetic and centrifugal braking system. Easy to tune in. Light and butter smooth. I found both of mine for 130 shipped on fleabay. Giant step up from the speed spool.
  14. Like fishing from a cereal bowl
  15. http://www.ultraskiff.com I think it's pretty awesome. I wouldn't personaly buy one but its cool
  16. My bank is telling me no. But the monkey. The monkey is telling me yes.
  17. You've got my attention. More details please. Band and size. Hook up ratio. Exactly how weedless is it. Overall experience.
  18. Zell pop, splash-its, river2sea bubble popers , and duo realis 64 are next on the list to try. It will be very interesting comparing the action and quality of all of the highly sought after popers. I'll fish any brand as long as it works well for me. Including the carrot that was previously posted. I'm not loyal to any brands. I'm just addicted to blow ups and hook sets.
  19. Are you fishing cover?
  20. Add a black beauty Rico and a perch pop-x to the list as well
  21. I ordered a bone Rico, smoke shad yellow magic, and a pop-x pm thread fin shad. Going to compare actions and decide which one I perfer, then order diffrent colors from there. I'll be in the Gulf of Mexico for the next 14 days working so my order will be waiting for me when I make it home. Needless to say it's going to be a long hitch.
  22. Well to be honest if I'm going to spend money on a high dollar lure it's going to be top water. Less likely to lose it and if you do it floats. That aside people have been killing it on early morning top water with a popper in my area but as hard as I try I can't make my pop rs work for me. I've thrown every color. Tried a variety of diffrent cadences. Nothing works. So after getting my butt kicked several day in a row I've decided to upgrade. At the end of the day if I find 2 or 3 that catch fish it will be money well spent for me. Considering how much money I spend on soft plastic each year, a few hard baits that I can use season after season is not a big deal in my opinion.
  23. I'm going to pick up a few Megabass , ricos, and yellow magics Seems to be the most mentioned between this site and others. Decided to get a couple of each to see which produces the best for me. So I guess colors that will produce in dark stained south Louisiana water is my next debate.
