  1. Looking to pick up a few high end popper. I've been eyeing the ricos and such for a while now Who make your favorite, highest producing popper? Color suggestions for stained/very stained/muddy water would also be appreciated.
  2. If you come across anything that will work please pm me. Interested win doing the same
  3. Caught 3 nice fish today on the 69ML and I couldn't be more impressed with the way this rod handled.
  4. Boy your not lying. If only I could be that patient.
  5. That's what I was worried about. I wanted the best of both worlds between a hollow body and buzzing frog. But after reading a few review the slop I fish would be a no go. Thanks for your input
  6. I tried to get a good picture of the taper today while fishing the 69ml. It didnt work out too good though. It's definitely what I consider an xfast.
  7. Any use or have any experience with the damiki air frog? Interested in them but would like to hear people's opinion. What hooks do you use with them
  8. Nice. I'm waiting for the weather to clear up down here. It's ashame how anxious I am to do some serious fishing with this thing
  9. Ok so I received the vokley 69ml xf yesterday. Rod showed up safe and sound. Well packaged and very secure. Upon first look I was immediately impressed. Extremely light. Excellent finish. Very nice cork handle. Nice soft tip with a crisp pronounced transition into the perfect amount of back bone. Quality micro guides that were nicely wrapped and super straight. It was love at first sight. I mounted a shimano chronarch 50e with an avail honey comb micro cast spool and bfs air bearings from hedgehog studios on that bad boy and the balance couldn't have been better with out it being a custom rod. spooled it up with 20lb suffix 832 and tied on a 1/16 ounce Texas rig with 1/0 hook and a 4 inch ribbon tail worm A quick walk to a neighbors pond was almost unavoidable at this point. No monsters there but plenty of dinks. Sensitivity was great. I felt every bluegill perch small bass and cover that my worm came in contact with. All of the above was very pronounced and unmistakable. I can't believe I got this rod for 150 dollars. It's excellent. one hell of a rod in my opinion. I'm glad I splurged on the vokley before I spent more than double on the Megabass

  11. If I wasn't going to be out of town I'd be all over this. There isn't any bass charters down here but if reds is on the menu I would highly recommend bourgeois fishing charters. If bass is the target then I would suggest fishing the lagoons in city park on foot. Lots of water and decent fish. Had a guy catch a 9+ bass there on the 26th. A worm rod is all you really need.
  12. Strike king mini king spinnerbaits. 4 inch ribbon tail worms Baby brush hog Super fluke junior Zoom speed craw/ rage tail baby craw Smaller grubs Storm wild eye live sunfish 2inch Finesse jigs 1/8 cavitron buzz baits Small hollow body frogs. Like booya pad crashed jr. Anything really that has a smaller profile. Just down size a little and go light on the bullet weight for trigs. Here's a suggestion. Works well for me. Remove the treble from the storm sun fish and take the spinner from the beetle spin. The Combine the sunfish and spinner. It stay some what weedless. Killer combo down here.
  13. Well I set out to test the bass following ducks theory yesterday after noon. I hit a local pond in a public recreational park. The pond had an abundance of ducks and cover. I started working a white hollow body frog between and behind the ducks. On my third cast in between 2 feeding wood ducks a fish exploded on my frog like an episode of shark week. It was the most violent frog strike I've ever had. Rod loads and I set the hook. At this point people passing by are in awe and cheering me on. One person even helped me land the fish by taking my rod as I lipped the fish. It was pretty cool experience.
  14. I own 2 Duckett micro magics. I love them. A lot of rod for the price in my opinion
  15. I picked one up at dicks yesterday to try. Sticker price of 119.99. I would never pay full retail but I used it this morning and for what I paid for it I like it. I have the 854c jwr. I put a lew's tourn mb 7.5:1 on it that I already had. Inital thoughts on it Slightly tip heavy but not overwhelming Sensitivity was there but was not blown away with it Not heavy but but not as light as some Reel seat and grip was better than I was expecting based on reviews. Comfortable to me the way I palm the reel Really good back bone and taper. I was pitching mid weight jigs rather well. I'm happy with my purchase overall.
  16. . I second this motion. Bast and cast.
  17. Thank you I am between this one and the tackle warehouse one
  18. Welcome to the site
  19. Thanks guys
  20. Nice to have you
  21. . With out a doubt. I'd be glad too
  22. . How long have you had it, and how has it held up. I've looked at it before but the reviews were all over the place
  23. I've tried the 1 rod thing and it just wasn't ideal. Cover and structure varies greatly from one pond to the next. So does the way I approach and fish each different pond. 3 rods will cover every thing I intend to fish perfectly. 7'3h with a 7.5:1 for frogs and punching mats 6'8mh with a 6.8:1 worm/all purpose 6'9ml with a 6.4:1 finesse
  24. I wouldn't give up on them so fast. He hasn't fished a bfs model and people opinions vary from one to the next. Between poisonokie and myself. There will be a review on the 68another sites and the 69manother sites. I would hold off a bit
