  1. The Live Target sunfish are a lot better than what most people give them credit for, so this imitation might be ok.
  2. They look like they might work well for the bullseye snakehead we have down here.
  3. You are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to fish Kingsley lake, lots of 14 pound bass have been caught there, including a couple +15 pounders. There are probably state record bass swiming in that lake and it's definitely one of the best trophy bass lakes in Florida.
  4. @N Florida Mike You can call the State and ask them to do a assessment of the lake. They can possibly stock the lake with bluegills if the bluegill population is low. These extra bluegills will hopefully spawn and make more bluegills for the bass to eat.
  5. Bass fishing in the Everglades canals can be phenomenal when the water level is low, with many people catching +100 bass in a single day.
  6. I agree with @"hamma" that it might be time to try different techniques.Maybe try techniques you have not used in a long time or use a lure that the bass in that lake have not seen before.
  7. Whenever I get a chance to go fishing is my favorite time to fish for bass.
  8. Nice jigs
  9. I feel that the title "Fittest on Earth" is a little generous for the winner of these crossfit games. These crossfitters are extremely fit,but those that win the Full IronMan Triathlon(112 mile bike ride,2.4 mile swim, and 26.2 mile run) are more fit.Special Forces soldiers are another group of individuals that are in phenomenal shape and many of them do quite well in the IronMan races. With that said, crossfit workouts can be a good addition to ones workout plan if one makes sure to do these workouts safetly.
  10. Thank you for posting the video.
  11. Thank you for posting this. Might add some of the cossfit to my current workout plan.
  12. Every bass fisherman should have a good scale along with a tape measure to measure the length and girth of a big bass. Never underestimate what you can catch from the bank, since people catch big bass from the bank all the time, and many of those bass are in the double digit category.
  13. Use the wind to your advantage, dont fight against it.
  14. Looks good. You can get a tape measure so you can measure the length and girth of bass you catch if you want.
  15. Thank you for the invitation.I sent you a PM with some information, let me know if you need more help.
  16. Live Target Hollow Belly Frog 6-7ft heavy action rod combo, pick the one you want I have caught plenty of +8 pound bass on 30 pound test braid
  17. Bass like to spawn in areas where the floor is firm, not muddy, and they are protected from the elements.Usually you will find a male on the nest and the big female might or might not be nearby. These spawning bass are much easier to catch than a free range bass and almost any lure worked well over the nest is enough to catch a spawning bass. I saw several bass beds earlier this month in the Everglades. The bass population is extremely healthy there and anyone can catch +20 bass in a day in the Everglades, even from the shore.
  18. Yes I fish a couple of those deep, clear lakes and canals, they are mostly down in Miami Dade/Broward county.Did you catch those peacock bass off beds?
  19. Micropterus salmoides
  20. It was 87 degrees this past weekend in many places of South Florida. Its going to be one hot Summer from the looks of it.
  21. Goes to show you that peacock bass are biting well this month!I agree with you that peacock bass are much more fun to catch than a largemouth bass.
  22. Another vote for the Rat-L-Trap.
  23. Yes there is less muskies than there is northern pike that's for sure.Muskies are indeed more difficult to catch and I know of guys from up north that haven't caught a muskie(especially one that is +40" ) but have caught plenty of northern pike.Muskies might not be as difficult to catch as a permit from land, but they are not easy either. Both muskie and pike are fun to catch and I personally would be spending less time on bass and more time muskie fishing if I lived up north.
  24. Sounds good. This month and the next 2 months should be very good fishing for trophy bass all throughout Florida.
