Big O or a Fellsmere Area Lake
Hey all, I live in Sebastian, and just wanted to let people now it has been very slow for bass fishing. My friends are only getting a few fish at a time right now. The new lake next to the Marsh called Egan Lake mostly is weeded out except for the channel. Egan lake is a NO motor lake, and can lots of fun on a yak, trust me, lol. Garcia lake depending on who you talk to is generally slow, but a few have been doing ok from what I hear, I don't generally fish there. Once weather cools some the area should hopefully turn on once again.

Sebastian Fl. Fish Club
Hey Guys, Just wanted to let those of you who live in the Sebastian Fl. area that there is a local fishing club. The club meets at the local Library on Rt 512 on generally Wed. nights from 6-8pm, starting in Sept. and goes though April. There is normally a guest speaker at every meeting. This is NOT a bass club, it is a fishing club that covers all types of fishing and the respective fishing areas. You do not have to be a member to attend, all fisherman are welcome. The club is also on Facebook under Sebastian Fishing club with lots of followers. At the meeting's coffee, water, and Soda is there during a break, and a cookie or two for those attending, free. The club does a 50/50 which you may do or not do, nobody cares one way or the other. But I have to say I have gotten a couple of gift cards to the local tackle shop. There is a ton of knowledge from the people who attend the meetings and you may even find a new friend or two to fish with. Again just FYI. Side note: For those who want to know about fishing the local area here for bass, I will help the best I can. Do a lot at the stick marsh, Egan lake(next to marsh), and a few others.

Florida Residents
We left for Atlanta from Sebastian, FL after hearing about storm. Thought I was ahead of most leaving and in some ways we were. Normal ride to Atalanta 8 hrs, this ride took 17.45 hrs. Glad we left when we did. Now after storm is done and gone kinda makes me wonder how long it will take to get back also....bottom line we are SAFE and insured, so whatever happens we will deal with it afterwards. Hope all others are as safe as well.
