Do you think George Perry's record is legit?
It is amazing how small some 15-19 pound bass look in photos yet George Perry's 22 pound, 4 ounce bass looks over 20 pounds in the photo you mentioned. Even better is that he was not even trying to make the bass look big unlike most people these days. The mouth shows how huge this bass really was.

Do you think George Perry's record is legit?
There are a lot of salty haters that is for sure complaining about George Perry's and Manabu Kurita's official World Record largemouth bass. Like I said earlier it takes a humble man to admit someone is better at them in a Sport, some people are just sore losers who refuse to give credit when it is due. With that said if you have people hating on your bass fishing success you know your are doing something right.

Do you think George Perry's record is legit?
I read that George Perry's record largemouth bass might have been a hybrid between a Florida largemouth bass and Northern largemouth bass. So many people have tried so hard to beat George Perry's and Manabu Kuirita's World Record bass yet nobody has. Until these records are broken all the whining is nothing but cheap talk which anyone can do.

Hardbaits VS Plastics & Costs...???
I usually catch dozens of fish on a popper, lipless crankbait, other hard plastic lures before I change its hooks, lose it, or retire it to my lure collection. I still like to fish soft plastic lures but prefer hard plastic lures such as poppers.

Hardbaits VS Plastics & Costs...???
In the long run you save more money with hard plastic lures compared to soft plastic lures. For example you can catch dozens of fish on a popper if you take care of it while you will be lucky to catch 10 fish on a soft plastic without it breaking.

Popper Help
I like to fish with poppers in calm water but have caught lots of bass in windy conditions. Experiment with the retrieve until you find what the bass want.

Do you think George Perry's record is legit?
Some people get mad when they realize they cannot beat someone no matter how hard they try. It takes a humble man to admit someone is better than they are at something they are good at, sadly many prefer to bash other's legitimate achievements to make themselves feel better about themselves. There will always be someone better than you in a Sport and even if you are the best there might come a day a person might beat your best effort.

Do you think George Perry's record is legit?
There are people who have spent a whole lifetime trying to beat the bass George Perry and Manabu Kurita caught. These 2 men have the World Record for the biggest largemouth bass caught no internet whining will change that. There was no cell phone cameras in 1932 when George Perry caught his 22 pound, 4 ounce bass and he did his best to have it weighed in the Post Office which was 100% acceptable back then. This bass most likely weighed more than what it weighed on the Post Office scale since fish lose weight when out of the water for even a couple of hours.

What do do when fish buries in weeds
Welcome to the forum. I suggest using stronger line if you are fishing in heavy aquatic vegetation for big bass. I like using 30 pound test braid or 15 pound test mono when fishing in areas similar to the area you mentioned. I sometimes use heavier line than this if needed.

Finding a secret spot. Do you have one?
There is a public park in South Florida where I caught a double digit bass from land. This is a very popular park that is well known in my area but most people do not know how to fish this place well. Most people complain that it is overfished with small bass, little do they know the lunkers that live there. I have caught several +8 pounders from other public parks from land so never underestimate a place just because you are not catching big bass since someone is, they are not telling you about it. There is no such thing as a ''secret spot'' or ''secret lure'' in the public waters I fish. If you want to catch a bass of a lifetime you have to be willing to work hard for it. You can always hire a guide if this is too much work for you since the guide does most of the hard work for you.

Why are bass rods short?
There are times a further cast is useful and these are the times a longer rod will do better. For example a long cast is valuable when fishing from land in a highly pressured clear body of water for big bass. If you are fishing from the shore in a area with lots of trees and other plants then it would be best to use shorter rods since it will be easier to maneuver a shorter rod in these locations. With that said you can do very well on a hand line if you know what you are doing so fish which ever way you like best.

Finding a secret spot. Do you have one?
I fish public waters which are not ''secret spots'' yet I do much better than most people that fish around me. The reason for my success is simple, I do my best to learn from each fishing trip and focus on my own fishing. Most people seem to be too focused on what others are doing when they should be focused on their own fishing.

Why are bass rods short?
A shorter rod is useful when bank fishing in an area with lots of trees all around you. Longer rods are better for when you need to cast far.

I’ve never caught a fish non- live bait
Try fishing with a spinnerbait. It is one of the easiest lures to fish with.

Free Fishing Saturday
Today I had a boater follow me around while I was bank fishing. He saw that I was doing well so he thought that by fishing the same location he would have my same success. He did not catch nothing in the time I was there. I left him alone and went to another location where I continued catching more fish.

What type of bass is this?
It is best to learn how to identify the different species of black bass so you do not get confused. Largemouth bass are the easiest of all black bass species to identify.
-
What type of bass is this?
The only black bass species that lives in South Florida is the Florida strain largemouth bass. In the Florida panhandle and some parts of Northern Florida you can also catch Suwannee bass, Shoal bass, and Choctaw bass. There are no redeye bass in South Florida. I have caught Florida strain largemouth bass in South Florida since it is the only black bass species that lives in South Florida.

Thank you for sharing @ATA. The Aquacat looks like a very nice RC boat to use.

Great New Product for Bass Guys and Gals
There are places I fish were mosquito repellent does not do much. What works best is to dress in layers. It is worth it since I have caught some very large fish in those places.

Critique my setups and recommend my next rod
It doesn't matter what somebody thinks of your fishing gear what matters most is that you are having fun catching lots of fish.
