When you take the spool off what sz is the set screw that takes the black gear off the spindle? Is it a hex or torx? Its really small and my eyes are shot lol. Thanks

Got it, was thinkin of older ones or something. Either way it has movement when its tight. I dont know, expected in 20 30 boat rides for $200? Or do I need to go up to an Exsence or Daiwa Certate?

Bought this reel probably over a yr ago but it was barely used. Took it out on new rod the other day and felt a rattle. Thought it was the rear reel hood on the rod handle but it's the handle on the Stradic. When the handle is down at the 6 o clock position there is movement up and down in the handle and you care hear it and feel it. Bad bearing or alignment through the square hole the handle goes through possibly? Any that's or same issues?

Yea I figured a graphite CBR Mod-Fast would b the ticket.

I need 2 topwater rods, one for baits like the whopper plopper so 1 to 1.5oz then one for 2.75oz plugs. For regular sz plugs like many I throw a M F action rod, but when moving up to these weights and heavier action rods I'm thinking Mod-Fast action? Tell me your thoughts n what your using. Thanks

I either use the plastic ones that come w a new rod or I make my own out of heavy cardboard and duct tape it really good.

I ended up going w the IMX PRO 847 CBR H MOD-FAST. Got it a month ago and so far I'm happy w it for $300 lightweight and fit n finish is good.

Recieved the rod today and its absolutely amazing, as far as fit, finish, weight and the action I was looking for in a floor bend test. But will put a bend in her Monday on Fork. I dont know of a rod that would beat it at $300 but I'm open to suggestions. I want a 7'4 or 7'6 ML spinning rod. I think the Diawa Tatula Elite might come close to this and they offer it in the 7'6.

Needed a spinning rod and gonna try out the one mentioned above. 7' M F blank by NFC Un painted high end guides and a EVA foam split grip. Had 2 NRX spinning rods the 822 and 823 and sold them. Didn't want to spend $500 on a MB to throw around as a co angler. Will get it this Friday if anyone wants a report.

Yea u cant they quoted me almost $100. Was asking cuz I c guys sell them on here and obviously there not paying that so wanted to know how they were shipping them.

Does it cost a lot? What about 7'5" that's 89in plus 3in for padding on each end takes me over the 88in limit again. So I'm stuck to only being able to sell 7' rods? Dont guys sell rods over 7 here in the flea market? What r tube dimensions and how much is it costing u to ship? Have u shipped rods over 7'?

The tubes from TW are 3.5in so the PO rounds it up to 4in and the PO only allows up to 88in long? Took to FedEx and it was like $100 to ship? 2in PVC pipe isnt big enough and 3in PVC only comes in heavy wall and weighs a ton. So how are you guys shipping 7ft + rods? Thanks

Not seeing things, they can be used for anything. Not getting into why but it's pretty self explanatory. And yes some guys use them to pitch plastics and jigs with. Look how many companies make mod fast actions anymore and not in crankbait rods. Its cuz people are using them more. I could take a M MH H and XH mod fast rod and fish everything with them.

Yea I'm a CBR guy when it comes to fishing chatterbaits for several reasons. I'm in TX and catch a lot of nice fish on them. Was just trying to see if anyone had any of the rods mentioned above to help me decide on one. I got to hold the Diawa the other day and have ruled it out. Will probably order the other 2 from TW decide on one and send the other back.

I'm going to buy a dedicated chatterbait rod. I'm currently using a Loomis GLX MH MOD-FAST but want something heavier. I narrowed it down to these 3 and was looking for anyone that owns any for suggestions or thoughts. Loomis IMX PRO 7' H MOD-FAST, Diawa Tatula Elite Randy Howell 7'4" MH MOD-FAST, and Shimano Expride MH MOD Glass. The Diawa and Shimano are MH but are rated for more lure weight than the rodin using and think they will fish as a rod with more back bone? Also dont know how heavy the Expride will be compared to the other 2 being that its glass? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Wonder how much different that rod is than the 893 NRX, I have 3 of those. Yea I feel I need more rod as the hooks not penetrating. Not on every fish but too many. Was looking at the specs on the Destroyer Javelin.
