  1. WRB - thanks for looking into all of the specs . inches in makes more sense than ratio. That's really the part that matters I guess.
  2. Good call! I just looked at it and it's pretty reasonable for 1 week rental. Thanks
  3. Swim jig, Texas rig, shallow cranks . The. Probly a different real for swim jigs .. I don't really know what technique requires what ratio . Hoping you guys can steer me in the right direction .
  4. I Really use a bunch of roboworm the straght worms and just started using their shads for swim jig. Won't go out with out at least one bag
  5. If I plan on using it later that day I just slide it up the line . If I'm done with it for the day it goes in the trash.
  6. I know there are a lot of tid buys about ratio floating around on here but how do I know what really right for me ? Or when do I switch ratio with technique to optomize performance . I understand if your trying to bring in a bunch of slack either crank faster or get a higher gear. I'm trying to decide between the chronarch 7:6 or 6:2
  7. Hmmm not a bad idea either. I always bring more than I ever would use
  8. A tackle bag would work but I want something a little more weather tight
  9. That looks like it would work. I would prefer something with a lid but that would make it easy to see them. It may be what I go get this weekend if I can't come up with something else
  10. I want to be able to bring the 3700 boxes with me in one storage bin and then be able to grab what I want then put them All back and store them in the garage.
  11. I had similar issue here also. I got lucky with pumpkin seed trig with a brass bullet weight. Cast near a water inlet if there is one . Most small ponds are retention areas and have some type of concrete Inlet. Or else try a big fat black and blue flec think they are called 5" power hogs. I've had good luck in trouble areas with them
  12. How do you guys travel to your fishing spot and being your Plano 3700's with. I've been using a backpack but have looked into the Plano trunks just not sure it they Will fit well In there. Also the trunk would in theory work well to leave in my truck bed and also bring back to the garage easy.
  13. Just got my 744 but it doesn't say "hp" on it. Does yours ?
  14. Curarado. That was my first baitcaster and don't regret it one bit.
  15. Thanks ! Which other rods did you get ? I have the itch to buy more and I haven't even got this one yet . All The positive stuff people are telling me about this rod is getting me excited like a little kid to go fishing now
  16. The only local bait shop is kind of a hike and not on my way to anything . Plus they are not very pleasant to deal with. Looking to get a chronarch ci4+ I know the big box online retailers. Any suggestions or places to stay away from would be appreciated . Thanks in advance .
  17. Is the "hp" a new model ? Or just what they are shipping now? . Mine is on the way but no clue with one it will be
  18. Just ordered a 744 to try out. Thanks everyone for you input. Now just to decide what to get next ....
  19. Thanks ! I will give it a shot. Now I'm excited to try it out.
  20. Any lure suggestions to Try on the river ? I will try and stop one evening during the week.
  21. No I don't fish it really . I don't have a boat and don't know much about small mouth. I drive past at least 2 times a day and keep telling myself I should just try it but haven't stopped ...
  22. St.Charles now. I used to fish deep quarry and bass lake a lot.
