I have good success with it too in the the summer when the bullfrogs are out.The ones I get aren't topwater ,they sink but when you throw it across weed cover they sometimes nail it.

2.And I never fish with them.I am going to make myself try them again this year.Just haven't done well with spinnerbai ts

One of my goals for fishing this year was to try some new spots.So I fished one today around 6 miles from the house from 3-6 o'clock.Caught 9 missed several.All the fish were caught relating to lily pads.Caught 6 in the last 30-40 minutes.Most were caught on yamasenkos 5 inch but I cut them down to 4.Biggest was 3.5.Fairly pleased for the first time out on this lake.

Zoom Super Flukes.Zoom has several baits I fish and they're all good.GYamamoto is becoming a favorite but they're more expensive and tear too quickly.I still use culprits occasionally also.and producto tournament worms.

I've had the same experience. But I did catch a 4 pounder on a brush hog.It was watermelon with purple flecks.I've done well with the babies.

Not too much.My dad and me went through it once and saw some war sites.Mainly new market battlefield.We also went down to saylers creek and Appomattox on that trip.The Shenandoah valley is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

Not opposed to them.I use them when we saltwater fish.Redfish, sheepshead,black drum,flounder,etc.Just not when I bass fish.

My dads from the VA mountains.He always wanted to go back to stay but he sadly never made it.

That's a positive outlook there.I wouldn't mind a few of them but theres50 or 60 by my best estimate.We have a few mallards,barred owls,hawks,ospreys,herons,cormorants and the list goes on.There's just way too many geese to appreciate them much.When they come in at dark it sounds like someone is forcing 100 donkeys to sit on cactuses.Not an exaggeration. .

I appreciate it.They don't wake me up every night but enough to just annoy me.Its just a part of the whole aggravation.There was a big glob of poop on the front of the house this morning and I read where they poop 4 pounds per bird per day.No wonder the weeds explode every may.Plenty of fertilizer!The good thing is that they leave for awhile so we get a break. .

Good points.I rarely use anything with trebles so that wasn't something I thought about.I do swing smaller fish but not desperately like they do. Mine is more of a lift than a swing,and I catch the line as its coming by.I lip all bigger fish.

I don't even carry a net because it gets in the way and a reel always gets tangled up in it!

I keep noticing something TV tournament fishermen always do that bugs me.When landing a fish,they always use a net(esp. on bigger fish),or they cane pole it into the boat(mainly with smaller fish)I don't know about y'all but I used to lose fish more often when I did it that way.I can't remember the last time I lost a fish at the boat by lipping it.In fact,I can't remember ever doing it.And they walk around the boat and it just seems like it gives the fish more chance to get off,which it often does on these shows.I remember coming in second in a tournament when we lost the winning 4 pounder because my partner insisted I use the net,which took longer than it would have if he would have just lipped it.While I was trying to get the net into position the bass bonked his head on the boat and got off.

Hmmm I would have to say...Rattletrap's.I do remember catching one dink on one.

I think it was a red and white spoon.I caught 2-3 fish on it and then got into plastic worms.My friend had a black and white polka-dot worm made by cream that the bass loved.Talking about 1975 or 76.

Ive fished around them all my life.Had a 10-12 foot bull go under my boat one time.I wouldnt be slightly "skeered" in a boat.I have wade fished the st johns river many times and seen plenty of 9-10 footers.There was one out there they called"ol tail light" and he was supposedly upwards of 15 ft.I only had one problem once with two 9 footers.I was wade fishing near Colee cove on the river and it was starting to get dark and a 9 footer came out in front of me.So I think its about time to go back any way.So as I turn around to go back another one had come out behind me.I couldnt go straight into the bank because of an extremely thick cattail bed.So I decided to fish a little more and wait out the gators.But they wouldnt leave.It was nearly pitch black out there now and I did not want to have to wade back through the swamp to get out due to all the moccasins and whatnot in there in the dark.So I Prayed and started walking as quiet as possible toward the gator in my way.When I got about halfway he sank!So when I got to about whete he had been I was sweatin bullets and praying out loud.But I never stepped on him and made it through the swamp and made it back to the truck ok.The main thing is dont splash the water,dont have a dog with you and watch for snakes and you should be fine
