Where is a good lake to smallmouth fishnear baldwin-ludington area?

I was fishing with the girlfriend and she wanted to fish her new cotton candy pink zoom trick worms. So I knew she was starting to get bored so I went along with her. I told her she should try a more natual color being the water is cyrstal clear in the lake where we were fishing. She said efff it I want to fish a pink worm. I said ok you will never catch anything with that worm. I put it on texas rigged. So the very first cast when the worm was sinking. Guess what the line started to jump and she set the hook. She of course said I told you there are girl fish in this lake. I told you. It was a dink, but that dink made me feel very very foolish. Here is the pic

I use zoom trick worms and strike king cyber flex stuff.

Yeah I was fishing Near baldwin, Michigan. Believe it or not the bass swam right to the boat. Lucky for me I was in 6 ft of water and In between 2 patches of Lilly pads about 15 ft apart . The bass could of easily took me into the pads if he wanted to. But the fish swam right to the boat and then took off for the pads. I just steered the fish a little (like I do when fly Fishing for Kings near manistee). Got the bass next to the boat and buried my Thumb in its mouth. It was a very very good day. I was using a zoom watermelon trick worm. Greatest day every. Any one know what the state record is for lmb is for michigan?

I caught my first big bass this weekend in northwest Michigan. It was 24" long with a width of 7 1/4 in. It was definitely the biggest bass I have ever caught. From where I am from it is "a bass of a life-time". I didn't weigh it but it had a big pot belly. So I released the fish back into the water because the fishing hasn't been so hot lately. Now I want to get a wall mount of the fish. Where is the best place to get it mounted? On the internet or a local taxidermist. What can I expect to pay in price?

I got a good bait casting setup. I want a good spinning rod set up. I would like to cast lighter baits. Primarily Plastic and small jigs. What is a good setup with a price limit of 300 combined (rod and reel). If you need anymore info on me to help let me know. Thanks ERC
