  1. Frogs are a blast! Great video. love Spro, Ishs phat frog is my go to lately if frog bite is on.
  2. Hey guys. Looking to bite the bullet and purchase a big o bass boat. I have heard some great things about them and Being that they're built out of Sebring. Makes them more appealing to me. Please some feed back if you guys have one or have been on them. Just curious about the ride. The fishability, deck space and storage. Thanks Mike
  3. God so many to choose from love them all! Lately I've been killing it on the tiny torpedo. But love spooks frogs popers buzz baits. Florida impact lures have some great wooden plugs and top water baits too
  4. Agree! Froggin is fun. I love it. !
  5. Great fish. Love top water.
  6. Great fish! That's a monster!
  7. Hahah. You know in Bahamas I've had loggerhead soup. I bet snapper turtle would be d**n good!!
  8. I love top water! Some days all I fish. In south florida off matts nothing like a good frog. Ishs phat frog is a great frog. I also like Spro and booyah. Live target makes a nice frog. Zara spook Jr is a great walking bait. And I fish that a lot too. And a buzz bait is great I have great luck with top water. And a good popper and jitterbug. I love to fish day or night. And top water is always how I start You know I haven't tried the whopper popper yet. It looks like a great little bait
  9. I prefer a 7'11 heavy to extra heavy rod for flipping and pitching. Medium heavy if sparse vegetation. In South Florida we have some heavy cover and I have better control and with a long, heavy action rod and high speed reel. I can horse them out of the cover no problem. We all have preferences. I've hauled 8 to 10 pounders no problem with 711 rod. I don't feel the fish have an advantage on me. And I use an Okuma TCS rod for my flipping great value for price. But whatever gives you confidence. Confidence catches fish. That's proven
  10. I'm new to the forum, but have been looking on it for some time...any who, I know we all have them. The horror stories of the one that got away. And it was always a monster. But I swear lol, I'm with my buddy were out on istokpoga, In a cut we like to fish right off big island. And the day before he caught a 9.2 pounder. A hawg! And what's cooler is he makes his own spinner baits. I mean these are no jerry rigged baits. These are professional and great baits. The fact he makes them and were the only two that fish them adds to it. But the next day. We're at the same spot. Btw big bass have been caught here before, we've pulled 8 pounders and 7s out of this area. It's a great little hole. But I'm working my favorite frog. The phat frog from ish monroe. And I throw it around some fallen trees and big explosion. I mean huge..And I set the hook like an amateur...she got away...Me and my buddy just look and I try to get her with a dipped.senko and.jig but she was smart and didn't play into it. That was last week. Hopefully next.time I get out on that lake which will be in a few weeks I'll make it up...But let's hear the stories.
  11. I have the XH 711 matt daddy paired with the Okuma Helios and the Okeechobee power handle. It a great set up. It's really well balanced. I was in your shoes not knowing what to get. but for a 109 dollar rod it really is worth every penny and then some. It's super light I feel every bump and has plenty of back bone for yanking them out of cover and onto the boat. But there are plenty of great flipping sticks out there. Just depends in the coin you want to toss. But for 109 dollars on Amazon it's a great deal.
  12. Ya I'm debating on the new mojo slop n frog. Theyre definitely better then the old ones.
  13. I like the Palomar for frogs and baits I can tie it on. Except for flippin and pitchin. Just the fact it's quick and I can adjust the tag end so I'm not cutting a lot of the bitter end off. Sounds funny but when your fishing every day your home you start wasting a lot of braid.
  14. Wow guys. This is a great idea! I'm in, incredible way to help out.
  15. I want to get a few more rods and reels..because we all could always use more. I'm stuck between loomis or st.croix frog rod. And trying new baits and techniques to produce bites.
  16. Scott Martin...But I always have a blast with my dad and buddies but flipping out with Scott would be awesome
  17. It goes both ways. My neighbors in lake Istokpoga we don't give eachother spots at all and when we post our Biggins, and they ask where's that I won't lie. Lol but I don't tell him exactly where. Big lakes like Lake O and Poga are hard sometimes when you don't know where they are. Local knowledge can be great....if they're being truthful.
  18. Hey guys new to this forum, I live in south florida have a boat at the house at lake Istokpoga. I love bass fishing anywhere I can. Tamiami, alligator alley lox, lake Okeechobee.
