Fishing Lk St Clair anything less than a 7' rod feels ackward in my hands.

I bought a Dobyns Champion Extreme 7'6" medium light spinning rod back on Black Friday clearance deals. Do you think that is too long of a rod? My other choice would be a 6'9" medium light Villian. It's seems like Abu Garcia rods run a little heavier on power though.

Gosh darn that TW sale. Count me in for a 872s. I'm just a sucker for a deal. This better be worth it. $325 is a heck of a lot for a rod.

I know there is a whole Ned Rig folder of topics but I didn't see any specifically on rods. What length, power and action are you guys using for your Ned rigs? Thanks.

To each his own in this situation. I bought a 1/3 Feeshing N-V 7'3"MH for $106 on Amazon over the winter. The reviews were great on that rod but it felt like a broomstick to me. Who knows maybe I just don't have good taste. My preference like Darren is MF or MXF.

I don't own a NRX but read the reviews. I wouldn't wait long at that price.

I have an 7' Extreme MH spinning rod, let me preface this that I usually fish M action poles but the Extreme feels like an absolute broomstick to me.

If you go to Monster Fishing Tackle you can get a G Loomis IMX for that price range if you sign up for their mailing list. I've been very impressed with the few purchases I've made from them.

I have it and use it for a drop shot reel. It's a good reel and that combo deal makes it even better

Sounds like we were thinking similarly. Unfortunately I canceled my NRX order and my replacement concession was that 733C. It was the only thing that kept me from crying.

For those that own one what are your thoughts on the Dobyns Fury 733C? I ordered one online thinking that it could be my underspin, Keitech swimbait, chatterbait, undressed Shockblade rod. I mainly fish St Clair which isn't overly weedy.

Get the Fury then next time around when you have the money get the Champion. I hear that rod is awesome.

I haven't picked up a Savvy but the reviews I read said it wasn't worth the extra money. Go Fury.
