  1. If I wanted it, and that is what it cost to have it, then yes...I probably would pay it.
  2. Some 195s are having issues with the transom cracking. I would wait and see if they make any changes.
  3. I have not fished it yet. I fish both Beech Lake and Glen Springs. Have you fished any of them lately? Any tips?
  4. Thanks for the insight. Out of the favorite lakes listed in your profile, which is your favorite?
  5. I sacrificed this after owning it for 10 years to buy my boat last month...
  6. Buy at least 5amps per bank...the more the better. Also, go ahead and buy 3 bank...you will most likely eventually 24v trolling. Dual and Minn Kota both make solid chargers.
  7. My Xi5 motorguide interacts the same way with my Lowrance HDS. I never use my foot pedal.
  8. Post pictures of the damage to the prop. The pitch of the prop should be on it. You should be able to find a new aluminum prop for under $150.
  9. Post up how you do and what you learn down there. I think I am heading over there for a few days next month.
  10. You are going to love it. A bass boat is a real game changer.
  11. Trolling motor with Anchor mode is certainly no replacement for a shallow water anchor system. It is not a bad alternative for someone who does not want the few negative of a pole or talon.
  12. I am sure the PP or Talon's would lock my boat into position firmer, but my Xi5 with Anchor mode is pretty incredible. I have an 80 pound model and it holds my 17' Tracker within about 5' against as strong of a wind as I would say is fishable. Good enough for me. The heading hold setting is also pretty awesome. Just point it down a shore line, set the speed and fish.
  13. I have a loomis GLX 785 CBR. Amazingly good crankbait rod. I will say that they run a little soft in my opinion compared to the rest of the Loomis catalogue. I originally bought a 783 and returned it for my 785.
  14. I did not have a good spot for a 3 bank charger in my 175 where it would not cut into storage. Three batteries is such a tight squeez. I installed quick connect plugs on the batteries and the charger leads. I have the charger on the wall behind where I park the boat in the garage. Works well.
  15. Shot over the Beech Lake this afternoon. Tooks about an hour and forty to get there. Really really nice lake, and I am sure it can produce some fish. I only fished for a few hours and only caught a dink. I think it was a little fished out this afternoon...there was a tournament this morning that ended just before I got there...28 boats. So, I think the lake was a little pressured today. I am definitely going back over there soon.
  16. I have only had mine a week...a total of about 4 charges. I bought it after multiple recommendations. I am sure there are better charges on the market, but Minn Kota's chargers are supposed to be really good for the price.
  17. Skunked at Herb Parson this afternoon ~4:00-7:00. I don't think this little cool snap did me any favors.
  18. I have a Minn Kota 315D. It was less than $175, and are supposed to be very reliable. I am happy with it so far.
  19. Possibly. Shoot me a PM with your number. What part of town do you live in?
  20. I went out to Glenn Springs today. As advertised, that place is a stump fest. After launching I idled out towards where I wanted to fish. As I was about to stop, I caught a stump pretty good. Luckily I was just at idle. I raised the outboard all the way up, and dropped my trolling motor in. I fished for about three hours only catching one dink. I know there is more there...it just looks so "fishy". Hopefully I'll eventually get it figured out. It was starting to get dark, so I pulled up the trolling motor, dropped in the outboard, started it up, and started to idle back to the ramp. I noticed the outboard vibrating, so I stopped immediately to take a look at the prop. That is when I saw an entire blade missing...awesome. Dropped the troller back in and cruised back to the ramp at an awesome 3.8 mph. Missing blade.... Dink....
  21. Very cool OO Mod. What lake is that?
  22. Beautiful! I'm jealous of the Talons.
  23. Incase anyone wanted to see a sonar map of Herb Parson's. This is what my Lowrance has picked up on my last two trips. I am going to try to map the rest next couple times out.
