I lost two this year (one two weeks ago) even after taking them apart and letting them dry out ...insurance is a must if your fishin'

just getting back into tournaments this last year...my best team effort was 24.6 with a big fish prize of 7.8 I know a rogue stick who had 10 fish for 117lbs ...and a few others sticks with 50lbs+ for 5

I've thrown a spinnerbait maybe 3 times in my entire life. So No ;D i only like to throw rips and traps when it's windy, and it was pretty calm, with very intermittent wind. I threw my hand tied jigs all day. how deep were them jig fish? by the looks of them pics they couldn't have been deeper than 15-20'

I've heard of quite a few broken friendships from people fishing other peoples scenery :-/ :-[ ;D

;D you got me.....I posted this on another forum that demands details! I arrived at my mystery spot around 6:45am and was the only one insight. There was a thick layer of fog hovering over the water,a few trout and carp were jumping a few hundred yards away. Enchanted. I decided to demo a 3 piece bait I had someone paint earlier in the week to check its action with its new finish and tail design. On a slow retrieve it has a nice "S" shape,when sped up a tighter "S" shape,and when twitched lots of sponteneity! Nice! about 30 casts at different angles over a 35' ledge I get a follower... she's coming at the bank mouth open so I know she's feeding I started to run out of water so I trek'd down the bank a few feet and kept twitchin' my bait. DOOOSH! she mack'd my bait HARD like an alligator on a gazelle. FISH ON! I ran the bank to keep tension,she ran to deeper water for a couple of seconds and then I arm wrestled her onto the shoreline. Picked her up,gave her a photo session,and then let her go. equipment- Okuma 7'11 XH Calcutta 400B 25lb Izorline (Double Palomar knot) custom 3 piece trout bait w/ 1/0 Owner Needle Points

bra....if you see them offer to take a picture of their nice fish and the bait used (or not) then post that pic at the office and tell them to contact DFG. I'm sure next time they have to get their permit they'll be something said. I can think of a few places I fish that I've seen clear Petco bags either in the water or on the bank in the last six months. Poachers are everywhere!

rain isn't a problem for me, but when you mix rain & wind on the Delta in open water I hear you it's pretty scary and I'm sure not a nice ride in your smaller boat! I got out today for a few hours ...it was nothin' compared to fridays rain....I lost an ipod AND a phone due to the rain that day...pretty bummed since they were in my gore-tex jacket

Dude, I don't have the patience to throw a swimbait. That game plan was out the window after the first 5 casts. No confidence in that bait and don't have a rod rated for over 1 1/2oz so it didn't work too well ;D I've never seen a craw in there once in my life, yet I still catch some jig fish. Mhmm, they must be out there. ya gotta have the right tools that's for sure....as for the craws ya know they got 'em they are everywhere...bass get sharp teeth from rootin' for them especially in the summer.

That fish is nice, along with the other DD you've caught lately. I wish I had the patience to throw a big bait, but you seem to be catching them quite frequently. I've been fighting the urge of throwing a big bait, but the more fish I see like this from lakes some what near me, the more I can't resist. it's not for everyone..there's a good reason alot of the rogue sticks fish solo ::ahem:: not naming names...at times it can be peaceful and others frustrating but that's life...

I took this snap the other day after thinking about the fact that I don't take enough photo's without fish(and maybe should stick to the fish photo's). Great rainbow that lasted about 20 minutes something you don't see often in Cali. Funny thing was the arches ended inside of the lake. On one end there was a group of about 100 Comorants on shore and the other was near a small point. I fished for the pot of gold at both ends and came up still broke ;D maybe next time....

got an early start this mornin' since I had to make it home in time to do some honey do's. Got to the lake and there wasn't a soul insight. Made 30+ casts from the bank and found this girl playing cat & mouse. She went 11.8 sorry for the bad solo pic she was a bit long and hard to fit in the frame.

I wasn't try'n to boast with those pics...unfortunetely I don't have any pics without fish even though I dig photography...for some reason its always dark out when I get around to taking a pic
